We came here on our last night in Denali, and it was a great finish to our visit. I was excited to try the King salmon, which I’ve never tasted, It was like eating butter, the texture was so delicate. I think I actually may prefer sockeye, but the flavour was delicious and perfectly paired with broccolini and mushroom risotto. Great atmosphere – it was windy and rainy outside, and it was wonderful watching it from our table inside. The staff were fantastic, our water was always full, and while our food and drinks were quick to arrive, we never felt rushed. Loved our visit.

Appetizer, The Roasted Pear and Bacon Flatbread was delicious and a good sized portion at about 9 inches. Seared Scallop Caprese were very well cooked and delicious. Main Asiago-Crusted Alaskan Halibut and Sea Salt Accented Salmon, both with risotto were generous portions and well prepared. My wife commented the brocolinni was too salty. Dessert blue berry bread pudding with bumbleberry ice cream was a huge portion, very tasty. Apple crisp was a good portion and good flavour. Overall great experience. Our server Landon was very attentive and helpful in directing us for the best experience.

The level of service is amazing. The waiter with the responsibility of filling water glasses did it with such pride by doing it well. We were so impressed by him. The bread pudding is unbelievable. The awesome waitress encouraged us to add the huckleberry ice cream. Wow just wow. It may be the best bread pudding I have ever tasted….and I have had a lot of them around the world. Our food was good. The only thing we were disappointed in was the salmon dip…it had a bit too much cream cheese in it. Otherwise a great experience.

My wife gave this restaurant a 6 out of 5 stars. The courses were very well timed, it was as if they were watching us finish one item and were prepared to bring out the next. The salad was very fresh and the chowder was fantastic. Our main course items of Halibut & Prime Rib were prepared to our delight. Wonderful ambience.

Visiting Denali and staying at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge (different review). The King Salmon Restaurant was good. Ask for a table with a view! Started with the Blueberry Mojito. The first one had way too much ice and not enough drink. The second one, I asked for less ice and it was much better. Needed more blueberries. I had the Green salad – it was good but a bit sweet. Too many craisins and the lingonberry dressing was sweet. But it was good. My daughter had the Caesar salad – the dressing was very garlicky (which we like). Had the Crab, shrimp and fish dip – it was good but had big chunks of seafood. I actually think it would have been better a little more blended so the flavors had a chance to meld. I had the Scallop and Goat Cheese “Caprese” (see photo). The scallops were very good, but I couldn’t call it Caprese. My daughter got the Salmon Chowder which was good. The service was good. A bit pricey.

I visited Denali Princess with my family and ate at King Salmon for dinner. The food and service was exceptional. We were promptly sat and our server was really awesome. I would highly recommend dining here if you are visiting. The Parmesan Crusted Halibut was my favorite!

I think it was our server who butchered the entire experience. He never returned back to the table to take our main/dessert orders. We wanted to order the grilled Salmon on the menu but he was not engaged so we asked another server to bring us the dessert menu. Mario, just dropped the menu on our table and never bothered coming back. All through our dinning we had to constantly ask other servers to trace him. Later, he left the bill on our table without asking if we want to order any deserts or how we like the food. We kept sitting waiting for him to bring the card reader to pay but the guy never showed up. By that time we had had it with his poor/lousy attitude, so we left the cash on the table and exited the restaurant. It is a shame to see that this guy became the reason for others losing on their tips and restaurant on its orders. He saw us leaving but never approached us., very insulting.

Food and service was wonderful. I had the halibut which was sooo good. If you stay at the Denali princess lodge, although all the dining options are excellent, I recommend this place the most. The bread pudding was terrific!

Went here twice hoping that the first time was just a fluke. The first time, the salmon was dry and overcooked, the prime rib was way too salty, and the king crab was overcooked and dry also. We couldn’t eat half of our meal. The second time, the prime rib came back well done instead of rare as we ordered (picture attached). The salmon pasta was so salty it was like drinking saltwater. My party and I never sent a dish back before but we had to now. Even the waiter apologized about the prime rib when he took it out. Unfortunately, there was no more prime rib so we had to order something else from the menu, which we were still unhappy with because we’ve encountered an issue with almost every entree. The other entrees were either out like the chicken or things we didn’t like. The halibut appetizer is also overcooked and dry.

Visited them for breakfast couple of times during our trip to Denali national park. They are located in a big cluster of hotels and restaurants. Views of the river Nenana from outside the restaurant are fantastic. Dining area is very cosy and well furnished and food quality was great. Service is decent but they seemed to be a bit understaffed to handle near full house they always seem to have.
