Been coming to this guy for 10+ years as he’s moved around town, now he’s right in Midtown in a great spot. BEST BBQ IN TOWN. Portions are always enough for 2 meals. Have tried everything on the menu and it’s all good but the ribs, chicken, Mac and cheese, and baked beans are what I always come back to and can’t get enough of. Makes his own sauce and it’s delicious. Cannot recommend this guy enough, great dude with great food.

Been coming here for a while and it’s usually hit and miss but this time I had rotten ribs in one of my plates. I ordered 2 specials and I smelled it once I got in and opened the bag so I know he could smell it when he took it off the grill and cut it and put it in my plate. I’m happy my son didn’t get to the plate before me.

Very disgusting behind the scenes. Food preparation is unsanitary to say the least. A lot of items are just old leftovers mixed with a new batch for the next day. Meat is not kept at proper temperatures and tossed into the fridge, again for the next day.

I was one of the first one discovered his spot when he first open his business. Such a humble and dedicated man! When I asked him why don’t you hire someone to help him when he’s getting busy, he told me he couldn’t trust no one to choose the right meat and cook the right way, so he had to stay there all the time to make sure his food were right. Imagine being in FL heat all day (he used to open more hours) to grill our food to perfection and still be able to laugh and give me extra food because of the wait. That must be love more than the money. I miss this place so much when I left Tallahassee.

We love King’s! Best ribs, pulled pork, and chicken in Tallahassee. Definitely worth checking out if you’ve never ate here. He moved in front of Puffs 4 Less on Tennessee St. I don’t know the recipe for his sauce but love love love it! Very generous portions too.
