The food was so good nothing else really matters. I ordered the lamb, which was well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and very tender. The restaurant was empty, other than my daughter and I, however, there was a table filled with to-go and delivery orders. After taking my first bite, I understood why. Even sitting at the table, dining in, one has to order from the app/website.

Haven’t been here since the place seems to be a younger and hippieer place, however, the food attracted me to bring the family here.

Food doesn’t taste good. Tried the grilled olyster not taste good. 酸菜羊肉 not taste good. Lamb skewer not taste good …… Plus it’s very very pricey. Really confused by those 5 star reviews saying food is authentic and delicious. Really?

Seriously UNDERRATED spot. Open late? Check. Delicious? Check. Family run? Check. I walk in and am greeted warmly by hardworking staff who remember me! The children in the shop are respectful, and it’s real to see them doing homework or playing games while their adults are making delicious food. Portion sizes are not “big” by American standard, because this is seasoned well, one doesn’t eat it quickly. I can split salt and pepper wings with another girl and we’re good! Order the baked garlic kebabs, the lamb, the quail, the squid, it’s great variety! I’m not much of a noodle person, but a good portion of the menu is soup!

Food is mediocre at best with pretentious food portions. The images shown in the image are false representations of the establishment with use of dixie cups and paper plates for dining. Along with the overpriced menu comes the repulsive container intended for collecting used skewers that has not been cleaned between customers. With the prices, one would expect a entree to be proportional to a group of four but I was sorely mistaken with the meager amount presented to my table. The restaurant had even failed to present “COOLED WATER”. The water had been warm and left inside a ghastly corked container with neglectful employees in addressing misunderstandings. This restaurant had left me physically ill after dining there. I high suggest you reconsider your choice when it comes to King Bistro unless you are in search for a shoddy attempt of a restaurant. We must be better than this.

Authentic chinese food. A great place for traditional skewer and bbq types. The Chef knows what they are doing and every item I have gotten always taste good. I have been a few times and gotten items from hot pot to wings to skewers to mantis shrimp. They have a nice selection of beer if you want to go with a party and causally drink especially during happy hour. Would recommend to anyone who wants a taste of real chinese food.

I don’t usually give a review for food on delivery as it has a tendency to not be good by the time it arrives but…this place deserves 5 stars if not more. I have been dying for good Chinese delivery having lived in San Diego for over 20 years. We ordered the cucumber salad (tingly goodness), beef and scallion, shrimp fried rice, and bok choy with garlic. All three were amazing! We were so impressed! Can’t wait to order for date night next week!

The skewers is awesome. I can’t see any BBQ restaurant better than this in San Diego. The taste is close to traditional north east Chinese food. Also, they have a traditional hot pot that I haven’t even tried before. They use charcoal to heat up the pot instead of using gas. Really appreciate that!!
