While I’d love to ensure this gem stays on the quiet side, I feel motivated to throw in my two cents here to ensure it sees the love it deserves. I’m honestly surprised Kish isn’t mobbed with folks every night. Love the food, location, and staff, and I’ve really enjoyed every dish I’ve ever ordered (likely about 15 of them over the last couple-few years). Particularly fond of the fresh garlic naan, the saag paneer, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala dishes, and also really enjoyed the dal makhni recently (not certain on the name/spelling used on the menu).

Excellent lamb biryani, rice and meat are cooked together unlike in the other restaurants which have the same rice base for every biryani.

Went here for a dinner with my husband without much expectations. Got seated as soon as we entered. The food was quite good. We ordered Tandoori fish, samosa chat and Chicken tikka masala with some bread. Tandoori fish and chat were the best. the curry was decent. Portions are decent too. We also ordered nimbu paani, expected it to be fresh lime juice but no, it was store bought lemonade with ice. 🙂

Ordered murgh malai tikka and dahi ke kabab. Chicken was stale and bland. Dahi kebab was so so. We decided to skip the mains as starters were not up to the mark.

I am from Delhi and visited here for a short office trip. I tried multiple places for food but this is the best of all the ones I had. It’s a must try if you are looking for authentic North Indian food.

Check your bill, this restaurant charges an automatic 18% service tax for parties less than 5 – in our case it was 2 people dining, the restaurant claimed that it’s a CA/ Santa Clara city ordinance – I can find no reference for such an ordinance. Also, kinda hard pressed to give it a 3 for the food …. We had just appetizers, the Nimbu Chicken is not worth ordering, the Chicken Tandoori was much better and helped move the rating…it’s best a 2•5 star for food

Today I was in Santa Clara! Was looking for good food Stumbled upon Kish on google maps At first I was little skeptical if I should go or not! … but finally decided to go … and I can’t not tell you how satisfied I was!!! Literally from walking in, to the taste of the food was just perfect!!! Nice Hindi music was playing! Not so loud where it becomes distraction, but loud enough to enjoy it! I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, rice and Onion Kulcha (Naan)!! Everything was just really good!!! I will definitely be back whenever I’m in the area!!! Keep it up guys!!!
