Fresh sushi in east Plano with a mom and pop vibe. They got PLENTY of menu items, next time I wanna try a fish tower. I got spicy scallop, shrimp tempura, and a spicy tuna roll. Very filling. Clean establishment which is a bonus.

Very a pleasant experience and money well spent! We ordered the soup/salad, veggie spring rolls, and an assortment of sushi rolls (dynamite, spicy salmon and a tiger) all delicious! The service was great and the little family that own the business are so kind. We will definitely come back

I have been a frequent visitor to this sushi restaurant, and it’s about time that I share my experience with others. This restaurant is run by a lovely and caring family, and it reflects in their delicious food and excellent service. The sushi options are abundant, and they all taste amazing. I am always impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients they use.

Delicious, fresh food with beautiful presentation. Surprised there weren’t more people, because I was very impressed. Their crispy spicy salmon roll was very good– I really appreciated that the salmon wasn’t pureed with spice like it is at some restaurants. It was just sliced inside the roll with a yummy spicy sauce! We will probably be back.

I don’t normally give 5* because I am a very picky eater, but this place exceeds my expectation. Let’s start with the worst, eventhough they were all good. At fifth place, the Volcano roll with fried scallops was the worst one. I find the scallop to be a little over cooked, thus it was a chewy rather than moist (the typical seared scallop). At fourth place is the Kitaro roll. It’s good, but it’s something you can find at other high-end sushi restaurants (not Nobu, that place sucks). The bronze goes the Rainbow Deluxe. Although I didn’t enjoy this as much as the Kiataro roll, the salmon is made up of very high quality. Holding silver is the Lion King roll. I didn’t particularly enjoy this roll, but the technique they used to sear the salmon is top notched. The flavor is very rich. And at gold is the Green Mountain roll with shrimp. It’s very refreshing. Along with the seaweed salad it serves as a fantastic balance to the Rainbow deluxe rich flavors.

Very sweet couple running this restaurant. Food was fine (not the best), place was clean, and service was great. I’ve read some bad reviews in regards to the service of the gentleman. He was very soft spoken, he walked slow, and yes he did seem sad. I also noticed his hand tremors. I suspect he has some disorder like Parkinson’s disease so please don’t be harsh on the ratings of service.

Everything about this place is fantastic. There is a lovely older aged couple that is running this place. I went inside, and order takeout. It was quick and I loved how they are doing their best learning the newer technology checkout system. The food was delicious, you can tell it was fresh as can be and made with love. They deserve more business as it was a bit empty for lunch hour. I also loved how they provided a card with their new online system and a discount code.

Amazing sushi. The food is really good and had a lot of vegetarian options on the menu. It’s BYOB so that was also lots of fun.

Kitaro sushi is hands down among the best sushi I have ever tasted. It tops everyone in the DFW metroplex by far and even several high quality locations in California or other great locations. It is such a hole in the wall place you would never expect to eat at. Truly life changing sushi.

This place was wonderful. Very lovely couple running it. It was very quiet and nice. Would love to come back. Got the Las Vegas roll. I don’t normally liked cooked salmon but it all worked together so well. ALSO some of the best tempura I’ve ever had. The batter is so light and crisp and not oily at all. The potato croquettes were also delicious. Give it a shot. This review won’t let me add a picture but the rolls were also very pretty
