Kizuki Ramen’s philosophy is to serve the most traditional, authentic and delicious Japanese ramen that you can possibly have without actually flying to Japan.
Kizuki’s food is still prepared the same way as it is in Japan; utilizing a unique method of roasting bones before boiling. Similar to the French style of making consomme, they were the first in the Japanese ramen industry to employ this method. The result is a rich, flavorful broth that is fragrant, and full of depth. Devoted to replicating the incredible flavor of traditional Japanese ramen, if equal substitutes for ingredients are not found within the country, Kizuki Ramen imports the ingredients directly from Japan.

This restaurant was recommended by my daughter’s friend. We were a party of 5 & ordered ramen and Japanese fried chicken. The food was very good but the service was mediocre. Our server only took our orders and they were delivered by another staff. She didn’t come back to ask if we needed anything else. We had to ask another server for water.

My international student friends from Japan introduced me to Kizuki. They said it’s the closest authentic ramen they could have in WA. I’ve seen more branches open up over the last 10 years and could say the flavors remain and it is delicious. I recommend shoyu or tonkotsu ramen, chicken karaage is so crispy and oishii. Peach green tea is the bomb. Amazing appetizer, ramen and drinks selection. I recommend this place.

If you want to dine and dash this is the perfect place! We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server took our order and the food came pretty quickly but then she never checked back in on us. No one came by the table to see if we needed more water or if the food was ok. My husband’s Ramen was good but mine tasted off. It was a broth I’ve never ordered before so I don’t know if I just didn’t like it or if there was something off about it. But like I said no one came by to check on us. My husband finished his food and after a little while of trying to get someones attention we got up to close out our check. We asked someone at the front for our check and she tried to seat us like we were just getting to the restaurant. We said no we already ate and pointed to the table. She pulled up our check and we paid but we could have just walked out! No one seemed friendly or even cared about giving good service.

I’ve been dining at Kizuki for many years and have eaten at several locations from Olympia to Tacoma to seattle. This is as authentic as it gets. Many Japanese people are eating here and most of the ingredients are imported from japan. The atmosphere is fun yet zen and the service is always great. My favorite appetizers are the chicken karage and the gyoza. The octopus dumplings and pork bun are also very good. Hands down the best ramen bowl is the miso ramen. It has such vibrant flavors. The egg, corn, bamboo shoots, and green onion with the pork belly create such a well rounded dish. I highly recommend stopping in here, it beats zen ramen sushi burrito and my lil cube 100%.

Kizuki is our go-to Ramen! It’s delicious every time. We’ve never left disappointed. Just moved back to Tacoma after 2 years and it’s still the best. Service is always top notch and tonight was no exception. David was awesome!
