Good place to drink draft beers. Good variety. Porker pizza was a good meal. Brisket was good. The broasted chicken was excellent. Service was fast and efficient. Plenty of room to hang out. Had multiple tvs to view sports. Also has outdoor seating and corn hole games.

We enjoyed eating here. The wife had the turkey platter with cheesy potatoes, the potatoes were a bit undercooked but had good flavor. I had the brisket with Mac N Cheese. Both our meats were very good! We also split some fries which were delicious, seasoned perfect to go with BBQ, & just the right about of crisp. We would definitely go back again.

Food was good. Just poorly managed. No one to greet or seat us. Asked for 3 different types of common beers….were out. 10-15 minutes before anyone came to take drink orders or food orders another 10 min wait. No refills. Side dishes were semi warm. Insulation hanging from the ceiling about to fall off. This could be a great place if management coaches everyone and took some more pride in the place.

We knew very little about this place. The food was ok, at best. I ordered the reuben, took a couple of bites and left the rest. The cheese curd appetizers were really good, but it stopped there. My daughter ordered the Cuban sandwich. Same, she took a few bites and left hers too.

First night in Winterset…The service was no good. The people who came in at the same time, ordered, ate, boxed up their food and left. We still had no food. Waitress never came back to even check on us. Two more couple’s came that in long after us ordered and we’re eating. We still had no food. My family must of been invisible. 🙁 Was racism involved? Only they know. How sad.

Stopped on our way through town and was super pleased. Very very good. The young folk working the place were super pleasant and professional. Great customer service. I wish I had remembered to take pictures of the food. My husband had Brisket sandwich and sweet potato fries. I had the Cuban pulled pork and it was AMAZING. The chili cumin aioli was so good, and the pickles added that wonderful crunch. The hoagie bun was toasted to perfection. Highly recommend this place.

Traveling through Iowa and decided to stop by The John Wayne museum and eat at Rudy’s again. They were closed, possibly because of COVID. I found this restaurant on Google. Thought we would give it a try. Clean restaurant, looks new. Slow service, but I guess that’s understandable when there’s only one waitress. The food took a long time to get. Maybe there was only one cook on duty also. I don’t know. I ordered the 3 pulled pork tacos. The flavor was very good but they were very small and the flour tortillas weren’t hot or warm, more on the cool side. Expected more for the $11 price tag. My husband got the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries. He said the sandwich was good but he really liked the fries. He felt bad that my tacos were skimpy so he shared his sweet potato fries with me. They were delicious. Not sure we would go back but if we did maybe I’d try a pizza since it has better reviews or just sweet potato fries.
