When I want the best sushi around or some amazing chicken fried rice, I go here. I was introduced to this place about three years ago and it has never disappointed. Great lunch bento boxes, selection of alcohol, and all around great food. The staff is very welcoming and loves to chat with you when they recognize you’re a regular. They also have the best hot and sour soup around. If you see me there, say hi and let me know you read my review.

Always order this on door dash during lunch at work! Always taste good. Very filling too. If you do dine in, if I remember correctly they do have lunch specials. The California rolls are really delightful! And I also recommend the gyoza too, melts in your mouth!

Food Allergy Review: This place is absolutely amazing! I am gluten free (celiac) and they can make almost any roll GF. It may come out looking different than if it were regular, but that’s normal because tempura and others toppings similar aren’t gluten free elsewhere anyways.

Kobayashi is my go-to place in Indianapolis for sushi. I have tried all the big name, talked about sushi restaurants in the area, and Kobayashi is by far the best sushi in town. The food is always fresh and the rolls are large and an excellent value. The staff is extremely friendly. The own fretted is when we walked in, escorted us to our table and stayed with us to chat for several minutes, and came back by several times throughout our dining experience. Ben, our server was incredible as well, making great recommendations and even adding his personal touch to our to-go box.

Pleasantly surprised by how delicious this place was, wanted to try multiple and they suggested the Las Vegas and the Tiger roll. Which they were both amazing! I was happy to find out that there was a drive up option for pick up. Their sushi was fresh and fast, all things in for! I am excited to come back and try more of their menu.
