Kobe. It’s called Kobe from the inspiration of the city, and the exquisite quality the city exhibits through its tradition in food. We all know that “Kobe Beef” is some magical piece of steak that we hold on a pedestal as the best tasting beef on the planet; it’s a culinary triumph at the genetic level. Well, at Kobe Japan Sushi and Steakhouse Bar, we not only serve our customers the best Kobe-style beef around, we present it in a style known as “Teppanyaki”—a cook-show, if you will, and trust me, you will be pleased. The master chefs here will give you a cooking show like you’ve never experienced. Fresh Scallops and Jumbo Shrimp, Maine Lobster and Kobe Filet Mignon will be grilled and playfully cooked right in front of you.

Food was excellent, filet, shrimp, scallops, bacon fried rice all incredible. Our chef was a pro, fun, entertaining and added to a superb evening. Server was attentive, friendly, wine and cocktails were all very good.

The rolls here are incredible in taste and in freshness. I think that the only sushi that beats these guys out is the sushi over in Hawaii and Japan. The time between ordering and receiving the sushi was very fast, only about 5-10 minutes of waiting. They have a wide variety of choices. Top notch food. I will absolutely be going here again.

Ordered the filet mignon, it came out med rare exactly like ordered. It has a decent taste to it, meat was very tender. Came on a bed of veggies, veggies was nice and soft. The soup was amazing, I don’t even know what it was but it was good. The old fashioned was decent, overall paid 55$ for 1 person would definitely recommend and will be returning

This is my favorite neighborhood local Japanese spot! I’ve taken friends and family here on many occasions. Recently, my family and I celebrated my dad’s birthday at Kobe Japan, and splurged on hibachi.

service was good. the restaurant is pretty noisy even when half full, but interior design was pleasant. the rest of my party really liked the food, but I was disappointed; my spicy sashimi don was not spicy at all and was covered with a lackluster sweet and sour sauce. but like I said, the other 4 in our party really liked their rolls and appetizers.

Awesome place with great atmosphere. The food was excellent, but could hold back on some of the soy sauce which is added to absolutely everything in gallons, so shrouds some of the flavours of superbly cooked food.

The food is fine, but when you want sushi on a warm day it’s just as hot inside the restaurant. It’s actually concerning from a food safety perspective especially when handling sushi. We thought it was a one off incident but we’ve gone 3 times to leave cause it’s so hot in there.

Our local, go-to hibachi restaurant for the last 10+ yrs. Much more enjoyable than the Benihana experience. With super quick service and a tasty high end menu, the hibachi chefs know how to entertain. More importantly, the meat and seafood are fresh and always tasty. We come here for special celebrations and high expectations because Kobe delivers.

Ordered take away from here. One of my sushi rolls was decent. The other had eel which had skin still attached that was very fatty and rubbery, to the point where it was inedible and unpleasant in texture. The chicken katsu meal was mediocre; I’ve had better chicken katsu from cheap Hawaiian BBQ places. The side of veggies that came with it was floating in steamer water and unseasoned, pretty bad. Price was okay but overall the food was lackluster and not worth it, won’t be coming back.
