I’m mad that I can’t give zero stars. My husband placed a pickup order here for my birthday dinner. While ordering, we were told that they were completely out of sushi. We still ordered hibachi entrees, giving them the benefit of the doubt. My husband picked up the food and brought it home. I opened the bags and not only were we missing an entire entree, the boxes were pulverized and spilling everywhere. We called the restaurant to try and resolve this. The manager answered the phone, we asked for a refund of just the entree we were missing, and she laughed. The only way she would give us a refund was if we travelled 30 minutes back to the store. When we said we would rather not do that, we were told to bring the entire order in, they’ll refund it all, and to not eat there again. The attitude we were given was appalling. All of this for asking for a refund for food that we did not get. I would not eat here if you want to be treated with respect.

First time at a Kobe restaurant while on a quick 3-day mini vacation just hours from home. This was close to the hotel, and new for us.

Please be careful ordering takeout. Didn’t get soup and quart of white sauce. Not to mention they up charge for fried rice (4.50). When you dine in, do they up charge for the rice. And they added 15% gratuity automatically to a carry out order. This happen two times and will never go back. The lady at the desk was rude trying to correct our orders. A day later they went back after we had them remove the 15% and put 20% back in for gratuity. How did 4 meals total 160 dollars. There is no way and they committed fraud by adding 20% after the bill was signed.

We went for our first time since moving to Martinsburg and were super pleasantly surprised, it was wonderful! Food was delicious and staff was friendly & efficient! We were disappointed they didn’t have sushi, we aren’t sure whether that is a permanent thing. But the teppanyaki food was amazing and we will be back for sure!

The steak was bland. It needs to be seasoned better. The service was great. Automatic 20% gratuity is added which I would have paid anyway but it was not prominently displayed that this was the policy.

The cook was the best during the evening. Good show! But unfortunately the chicken was over cooked . Tastes like chicken barn (not a good quality of meat) some of the sauces contain alcohol! The noodles where drowned in it. The waitress was rude and no clue at all. Check bill!

The manager treats her employees like garbage, gets in their faces and calls the cops on them when they don’t agree with her. She has some serious psychological issues and should not be managing that place! She treats customers with the same disrespect. I advise everyone to stay away from that place until they replace the manager. That is not how you run a business. The staff however are amazing and go above and beyond to provide excellent service. #FireConnie

We had some issues with our meal, such as not getting our soups or salads until our dinner was halfway done. When we asked about them we were told they had to make a fresh batch of soup, but when they came out they were barely warm and clearly not fresh soups. The shrimp and lobster was so over cooked and rubbery you couldn’t eat it. Then when we got our bill we realized we were charged extra for fried rice for each person, even though this was never mentioned to us when taking our order and it has always been included in the meal costs for as long as I’ve been going there. There was a built in 20% tip regardless of party size, and then after they factor in the tip they add up the tax so you’re paying even more than expected. We asked the manager about these things and mentioned the issue with the soups and salads and she got incredibly hostile and said “so I guess you want to take away your waitress’s tip” and slapped down a new bill in front of us without acknowledging anything else. She then proceeded to tell our waitress that we were saying she was awful and ruined our dinner. She refused to take anything else off or make any adjustments and completely ignored our questions about the fried rice fee. We paid the bill without the tip and then gave the waitress a cash tip to make sure she knew we didn’t say anything bad about her, and she told us that the manager is awful and treats everyone like that. Another group in our party paid their bill with the built in tip and the manager gave them attitude about not adding an additional tip. Used to go there all the time but will never be going back.

First time at Kobe and it was absolutely awesome! Had a 4 year old with us and the chef had him laughing and smiling the while time. The food was fresh and delicious!!! My 14yr old even admitted he loved it. Everything was great…. the service, food and entertainment.
