I stopped in for a late lunch. Very friendly staff sat me at the bar so I had full view of the kitchen. I ordered Jadori Chicken Katsu with hot Sake. The meat was perfectly cooked and delicious. A hostess came over and asked if I knew how to use the bowl. I didn’t so she talked me through using the wooden stick to crush the sesame seeds then mix rice with sauce. It was delicious and the hot mustard was so spicy but I loved it. The hot sake was perfect for a cool winter day. It was a great lunchtime surprise and I really enjoyed it.

HOLY SMOKES, this place is GOOD. Usually there’s a bit of a wait time since they don’t take online reservations and you can only put your name on waitlist when your whole party is here. (I agree to what other people say about their waitlist and waiting system)

Quite disappointed after the first try, heard a lot of high praise about this place. There was no difference between the Hire and Iberico. Both are dry and hard to chew, especially the Ibérico, the meat I expected should be more tender and soft. Service wasn’t the best either, there was something weird in my friend’s water. They also gave us an empty bottle of soy sauce for the oroshi katsu.

Went with a few friends on a weekend and it wasn’t too long of a wait ( we beat the rush hour) the space is a little snug so be ready to be cozy! We ordered while we waited in line because the server said the kitchen was backed up. We waited about 20-30 minutes for our seats and after being seated, we waited maybe 10 minutes for the food. The katsu was very juicy and just the right amount of crisp!

With an unassuming store front and small space, this katsu spot exceeds all expectations. We waited about an hour for a table for 5 people on a Friday night. Once seated, the waitstaff was super attentive and got our orders in quickly.

For the main course, we ordered the chicken katsu, which was pretty standard for what it is. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a crispy breading that wasn’t too greasy. The sauce was flavorful and added a great depth of flavor to the dish. It was served with rice and a miso, which were both really fresh and tasty.

Super tasty and great service. They were very accommodating for my party of 5. There’s a long wait line. You can put your name down and go somewhere for a drink while waiting. I had the kurobuto Katsu curry – super delicious!
