Started in 2017 as a single food truck in London, KY, Koi Express has since expanded to a full restaurant with a second location in Frankfort and plans to open more restaurants around the Commonwealth.

The service was amazing. Restaurant was very clean. The Gyoza was great but the Sweet Potato Tempura Rolls are my new favorite thing. Yum Yum sauce was also. I legit can’t say enough good things about this experience. I couldn’t even wait to get a picture before starting to eat cause it was too good to hold back. I’ll definitely be going back soon.

So I’ve only eat here once but the one time I have it was great. I got the chicken and shrimp combo w fried rice and I cramed it down as fast as I could haha. The chicken was a little dry but little chicken pieces are hard to get just right for anyone. My girlfriend got the chicken and steak combo as well and I ate most of her steak, it was steakhouse quality.

We go there once a week now. I think the food is quality. Steak is always tender. I’ve never been disappointed. I’m just now trying the sushi. We’re older and split the entree 3 ways. Also 2 orders of crab Rangoon. We’re satisfied but not overstuffed. $40 with the tip.

Crab Rangoon was ok, the “sauce” was watery and not tasty. The chicken fried rice- chicken no seasoned well and tasted old. The overall entree tastes like it was stirred up a dirty pan.
