I ordered a chicken bowl. It looked nice with the colors. However, the food came out only room temperature. Chicken was tasteless except a bunch of spiciness. Even the rice was cooked wrong: too much water but undercooked. Overall I was disappointed. This would be the last time I went there.

I’ve been a Koja kitchen fan for 6 years. The quality has been slipping for a while but now it’s nearly inedible and I won’t be back. The rice buns spend too long in the fryer, the beef is over cooked, tough and gristly. The pork is so salty you feel sick afterwards.

Such a great find! It’s perfect for a quick bite. We have tried the following: chicken katsu/pork/short rib/beef bowls, and my favorite, the kamikaze fries. Everything has been delicious. I recommend trying this place at least for the fries. They occasionally get our orders wrong (one delicious item swapped for another), which is my only complaint.

The biggest issue was the food poising I got from the short rib burger. But even without that, the food was not very good. Store was out of a lot and seemed to be falling apart. Best thing was the waffle fries. Never again

I went in expecting a standard Japanese teriyaki type of place, not Mos Burger crossed with Korean so the menu was confusing and I didn’t know what to expect from the sauces and such which made for a really long and embarrassing pause standing in front of the clerk who is waiting for your order. Eventually, they rescued us in that the wall menu is bare bones but behind us there was a stack of “paper” menus with actual descriptions of the menu items.

Nice choice for a quick, casual meal. Staff was very friendly and fast. The portions were generous. We ordered a braised pork koja and a chicken plate.

The workers are great, but the quality of food compared to the other kojas was less than subpar. The meat was mostly fatty pieces that were hard to chew. The bowls we got consisted mainly of rice instead of an even balance of the meat, salad and kimchi. The meat was definitely different, bigger pieces but less over all. Bummer 🙁 the koja in Berkeley, on telegraph is great!!! I will continue to go there.
