I found this place, while waiting for Spring Fest to start, (yesterday). They were just barely setting up all their booth tents still, at the start of the event. I found this restaurant nearby, and walked because I had parked five blocks away, and didn’t want to go grab my car. The owner was very friendly, and I didn’t have to wait long for my food. It’s a tiny, tiny spot. I plan on coming back again, to support them! The food was excellent

I have been going here since it opened and have loved it from the start. It was purchased by a new owner recently and now my favorite dishes are ruined even though the new owner personally promised me they were the same. The hot and spicy pork plate is my go to dish and now it’s ruined. Prepared drastically differently with new ingredients that shouldn’t be there. It should be hot and spicy pork over rice with steamed cabbage and broccoli on the side. Now the vegetables are cooked WITH the meat and they dumped a ton of mushrooms, carrots, onions and sesame seeds in it while there is almost no cabbage and broccoli what so ever. There is an inch deep layer of water in the bottom of the food because of this causing the vegetables to become mushy. I now have to spend 20 minutes picking mushrooms out of my teriyaki before I can eat it. My mother ordered the hot and spicy chicken bento wich has been fer go to dish for 20+ years and while it tasted ok it was extremely oily. Something that was never the case before. If you’re going to buy an established business with an established clientele who come in expecting to find what they love, don’t lie to them and tell them the food is the same when it’s NOT.

This place is fantastic! I have been going here for several years. I had quit coming for a few years and just because I moved away from the area. I went back for the first time last week. And now have been there 4 to 5 days already. The food is even better than before. I like the chicken teriyaki and spring rolls. The chicken is so moist and fresh and the rice is still soft and fresh. The veggies are great too. The customer service is phenomenal here. Family owned restaurant I believe and it has been great service every time i go. Quick, efficient, larger portions. And reasonable price. About 10 to 14 for a great meal!!!! Now I have coworkers loving it too.

I have been in the area for years and I’ve never stopped by this spot! I’m devastated I waited this long to try it out! Although the sweetest counter woman that helped me turned out to be the new owner! So maybe it’s her touch that made it so good!

Love this spot. It is perhaps the single best value for actual , cooked food in Eastside Portland. It is tasty and delicious, served hot, fresh and expertly boxed. The portion size is right out of “the good old days”. The service is friendly, down-to-earth, and will make you feel good about spending your hard earned dollars for a perfect meal.

Recently went under new ownership and she is great! Food was already good and it has somehow gotten even better! My go to spot when I am in the area.

So sad the new owners totally changed the hot and spicy chicken recipe. Was one of my favorite dishes in Portland

Really solid teriyaki joint. I pretty much always order the “spicy pork” dish, and am always satisfied. Service is quick, and they have free green tea all day long.

I love this little teriyaki spot. They crush it. The Katsu burger is surprisingly good. I am always getting the yakisoba. The fried items are a little too greasy for me but taste good.
