KoKoLo ~ Spirit of KoKoLo: KoKoLo Philosophy: KoKoLo means the heart and mind in Japanese, but it has a much deeper meaning in the culinary world. Our dishes are inspired by our name. We are delighted to serve each of our guests with a warm enthusiastic personal touch from the heart. Donburi is a traditional Japanese rice meal in a bowl. Its origins can be traced back to the Edo period (1600s to 1800s). At KoKoLo, our nutritious rice bowls are influenced by variations of donburis originated from different regions of Japan. Each of our rice bowls is precisely fried or simmered in our signature sauce and carefully prepared with traditional homemade ingredients. We would love to share the tradition of heartwarming donburis with our community.

Nice place and friendly staffs. Ordered Japanese style chicken wings and mixed tempura for lunch. I lived their mixed tempura but chicken wings was not as my expectations. My friend ordered different items, they had mixed kind of opinions about the food.

This is a beautiful Japanese restaurant located in the McCarthy Ranch in Milpitas. The food is okay in terms of taste. The presentation is not that appealing. I will give them credit for serving me hot food. I don’t frequent Japanese restaurants so I can’t make a comparison. The prices are comparable to other local restaurants. Expect to spend in the neighborhood of $20.

First time here! I thought I were in Japan with all the decorations and the music I heard. Surprised their price is not that high like other restaurant as I expected. Also, the portion was big and my stomach was so full after finishing all my rice. All the three dishes we ordered were delicious and yummy. Sure will come back again.

The food is ok, spend 36 dollars for two ppl, curry is good, deep fried skill is good, but pork is kinda too lean. Wagyu don is not recommended, too little sauce, was not that tasty. There are many side dish options, next time might will try their side dishes, but not the main.

One of our go to places for some quick donburi bowls, chicken katsu, pork cutlet katsu, katsudon, curry over rice and bowls. Both my nephews like this place, spacious and staff are friendly and polite, the food is not bad but it’ll do.

The food was good and it’s very authentic. There’s a water station where you need to get water by yourself.

Wandered into this joint and ordered takeout. The chicken karaage was one of the best I’ve ever had. The skin was cooked almost like chicharrones and was absolutely deliciously cooked. The cucumber salad was huge, with tons of really fresh greens and sliced cucumbers. The pork katsu donburi was tasty and well cooked, though the pork was a little thick for my taste. It was still fantastic. I couldn’t finish all the food even in two meals. I’m going back for the chicken karaage and the salad soon. This place is legit good, big portions, and good prices. Friendly staff, too.

Service is super friendly, food is spectacular, and ambience is great! Nice and filling for the price, will definitely return. Ordered the Pork Katsu Don, egg was slightly over cooked but flavor still A+.
