Went for lunch with a co-worker, had to take the wife that weekend. I had the 5 piece chicken leg/thigh, and it was amazing. The Italian beef was great with the au jus being the star. I got a Philly the second time, and it was also very good. I used to eat there when it was El Arriero’s, and the ambiance is very similar, as in not updated, but the food speaks for itself.

Great made to order food. The Philly Cheese steak was delicious. Lots of meat and cheese on a fresh toasted bun. The chicken sandwich was hand breaded and served on the same long bun as the Philly. It took a few minutes for the food to be prepared but not too long. Rather have freshly made food than something that’s sat under a heat lamp for hours. Bottom line it was good and I’d definitely come back again.

For those who love giro (pronounced yee-row) sandwiches this place is awsome. And you can order extra cucumber sauce. Tastee! They have all kinds of fried fish, Ocean perch, tilapia, whiting, catfish, jumbo shrimp and oysters. Also they have various chicken dinners to chose from. My favorite is the chicago style chicken wings. They are like Buffalo wings but even tastier. They sell various cakes by the slice along with cookies . Their Italian sandwiches are good too. The counter lady was very considerate and helpful when I wasn’t sure what I wanted at first. A very down to earth place to eat with good tasting food.

The food took longer than expected but made up for it with how good it was. But the staff weren’t the greatest, they were nice but couldn’t remember any condiments we asked for. Had to go back to the counter to remind them and the inside of the store is what you would expect it would look like from how the outside looked, uninviting; such as poor lighting and dingy looking, and i won’t even get on the bathrooms. Fountain machines didn’t work so you had to pay $2+for a can pop. I might get food here again thru drive thru but if it was my only option.

We eat here semi often and the value can’t be beat. A big thing of tenders and fries for $26 will feed 3-8 ppl depending on size and appetites of the persons. It’s also delicious, tho a word of caution if you’re sensitive to seasoning you may want to request light seasoning.
