Even though I was late I jumped on the Fufu and Egusi bandwagon. I tried the soup w goat meat and I personally did not like the taste of the goat..(this was my first time trying both the meat and soup) and I think the meat choice makes the flavor of the soup.

Everything is just great at this restaurant! From the customer service to the food to the vibe and the portions of the food. Even prices are reasonable for what they’re offering. The only thing is that they add a %15 service fee that i don’t understand, but I will be coming back as a regular customer for the high quality of this business.

Extremely disappointed in the white rice and stew. Nothing about this taste Nigerian! I’m use to eating homemade stew from real Nigerians. This taste American made…. Don’t like it at all and really feel like I wasted my money. Did y’all not blend the peppers?? Cus it taste like it came straight out of the can. I’m VERY upset. I been craving homemade stew for the longest and I wasted money on something that taste so bland….

I think we can all agree the most important thing you would like to know about is the food?! I’m here to tell you you will not be disappointed!! Every dish I had was absolutely delicious every bite was sensational and savory. I went there with a friend, her husband and kids, a large party, and we received exceptional service. The decor and vibe was amazing. That was the only good thing about it for me today… my waitress was not nice and was rude. The jollof could be better. Goat meat was soft which was good.. the designer stew was alright. I came because I keep hearing about it. Never going back.. Good luck to everyone else.

I had the rice and stew. The stew was honestly the worst stew i have ever had. It tasted under cooked and was extremely bland. It was also clearly not cooked with any meat or meat stock that would have added flavor to it and it was barely seasoned. Owner needs to work on the food. The decor of the place is nice but the food did not match the decor.

Located on Westheimer amongst many competitive eateries; yet, the food is yummy! I ordered the seafood okra soup with Eba (cassava flakes). It was delicious! Still have left overs! The soup is packed with crabs, shrimp and fish (tilapia). So good! It was about eight of us and we all enjoyed our food! Our waitress, Hannah, was attentive and polite for the most part. I think her attitude would have been more pleasant but she appeared tired. Nonetheless, If you’re in the mood for some Nigerian cuisine, definitely go to Kom Chop!

The lady that took my order is so rude on the phone. I’ve been customer with them for a minute and each time I order, I spend over a thousand dollars. Now I order food worth $480 and intended to pay cash when I go to pick up but the lady on the phone was so rude telling me I have to pay over the phone so as my order could be placed. Not good business organization and dumb to loose $480 in a day. Will never patronize them anymore and there are lots of African restaurants everywhere. Shame to them.
