While the atmosphere and look were super well done, the food lacked what we were expecting for an upscale restaurant. One of the signature dishes, Money Bags, was a great photo but the taste was not there. Unfortunately it’s the only photo I took, but the two highlights for us were the steak tacos and the rock shrimp. We were told the wagyu dumplings recipe changed a few days ago and while we didn’t have it previously, we were not a fan of the new recipe. The ribs were decent but nothing special. Also, if you go on a Friday night I highly recommend 7pm with a reservation. When we left at 8:30 it was completely packed with people waiting at the bar, at the hostess stand, and out the door in line. Be warned you may be seated outside. It was beautiful but hot if you’re not right under a fan. We were lucky the tables in our area weren’t full yet so we could move to one with a fan directly on us.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten. I recommend you do a reservation in advance otherwise you might wait hours for a table. Bar was packed, not seats available. Cocktails were outstanding. I had the ginger one and I loved it ($18). For dinner we had the house specialty, which is the Peking Duck ($115) . It was the best Duck I’ve ever had. Not even in France, famous for their Duck dishes, I’ve eaten such a tasty one. And the best thing, it’s enough for 2 or 3 people, ideal for sharing. The bill for both us was $235 including the drinks and the appetizer. Kind of pricy but worth every penny. I’d say that’s the media here , if you are looking to have a special night and great food in Miami.

The food was amazing!! The duck is a must! But it’s really big enough to share between 2 or 3. The mini tacos were delicious. Everything was really good the service was amazing they were very attentive. Make your reservation and be there a little before because it is always packed.

Food was absolutely amazing! Portion size was great – ordered two appetizers (duck lettuce wraps and the pork ribs). Had a delicious cocktail with fortune cookie. Would highly recommend this place! Service and team was fab!

We came to Komodo to celebrate our anniversary, the table we got was super busy as all the waiters have to pass by, the food was great but the portions super small for their price and the mandatory service charge of 18% wasnt worth the service we received tonight. Would we come again? Probably not..

Overpriced but food was delicious. Portions were really small. Wouldn’t say it’s super authentic, there’s a Western twist to it… especially for the lo mein since it tasted more like pasta than lo mein. Service could’ve been a little better because it was hard to get a waiter to come over to our table at times. Romantic ambience. My favorite are the duck lettuce wraps and pork sticky ribs. The halo halo was phenomenal… every ingredient just worked so well together.

As soon as we arrived one of the doormen got very aggressive that I arrived with a hat. I understand they have a dress code and I did not mind leaving it at the front while in the restaurant but for him to get so angry was not called for. Apparently I was supposed to receive a txt mentioning the dress code which I did not receive. Overall the food and everything else was amazing. I would recommend this specific doorman to approach this a nicer manner in the future.
