I’ve been meaning to try this spot for quite some time. Once a month my husband and I are at the Edgewater market for a community event and today was the day to finally try out this delicious food! I got the vegetarian breakfast plate, it was extremely flavorful and fresh. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the side was very tomato forward in the best way. I’ll definitely be getting the burrito next time, highly recommend for a light but filling brunch meal.

Konjo served me my food so fast! I ordered the chicken tibs with lentils – it was very savory and spicy. The injera was really good and not as sour as I’ve had at other Ethiopian places. I was really pleased with konjo, I only wish they served one more injera roll with the meal. Two are definitely not enough which is a good and bad thing, as they serve a good amount of the entree and side.

I paid $20.51 for what you see in the picture. Authentic flavors and the food does taste great. Unfortunately the injera was old and hard. A big mistake with Ethiopian food because injera is so important with every meal. I asked the guy behind the counter for some awaze, an Ethiopian sauce, and he gave me something that looked like hot sauce. It did have an Ethiopian flavor but was definitely not awaze. Upon reconsidering and changing my review a little, I will venture back to this place. Even though I think it is a little expensive the food does taste amazing and the flavors and spices are truly authentic. Having eaten in the capital of Ethiopia myself, Addis Ababa, the food here is truly good!

Don’t like leaving low reviews and would prefer to give the opportunity to make it right but just can’t drive that far again. Seems consistency is an issue or they’re ok giving half cooked lentils to people they think won’t know the wiser idk… They were VERY fast and spinach is decent though everything else is crunchy and sad. I would save your 50$ as it is.

Konjo never fails to disappoint. We need more cultured food in America and this is it. The bowl on the right is the entire vegan menu. Sambusa on the left, not sure if that is vegan, you may want to ask. Ask for extra Injera as you have more chances to wrap your food. And if you are vegan order the combo and suggest all 4 items, as you have a choice of three, but the four makes it a lot more worthwhile.

Delicious vegetarian platter! The red lentils are spicy but the others were perfect. Very filling and well made.

Tasty Ethiopian cuisine at the edge water public market. I had the vegetarian dish. The yellow split peas were my favorite. I would also opt for the carrots and cabbage over the spinach and potatoes next the. They provide a good amount of the bread, which tastes a bit like sourdough to me, not my thing. The small salad was refreshing and tasty and the fried appetizer was very good. The hot sauce added a bit of spice, but wasn’t hot. Great service. Enjoy!
