It was a Tuesday night and we just finished a movie at the cinemas. Found this place online and we’re so glad that we went. Didn’t have to wait once we got there since they had a couple of tables open for 2. We got the beef noodle soup and korean spicy noodles. Flavors on everything were spot on. It is a little pricey, tho, but so worth it. The servers are also attentive. One of the best places we’ve gone to. 5 stars all around.

A must try fusion place of two distinctive Asian cuisines, Korean and Thai! The taste is super complex and authentic. When they warned me about the spicy level of their green curry, I thought to myself as a Thai person, I shouldn’t have problems handling it. Turned out it’s a real deal in a good way. The curry tastes just like what Thai green curry should be with the Korean twist of Kimchi and the way they wrap the cabbage around the fish. The Hamachi was grilled and seasoned perfectly. The steak was melted in the mouth. The chicken Satay is kid friendly.

I was intrigued by the unique and concise menu at KoThai Republic, a Korean and Thai fusion restaurant in the Inner Sunset of San Francisco. The owners Sung Park and Gof Sanguanwong previously ran a food truck Spork and Stix, and this is their first brick and mortar restaurant.

I’ve been here five times and counting. This is exceedingly rare for me!! I usually get tired of restaurants by the third time. I love that they update their menu every once in a while. Most things I’ve tried have been bangerzz.

Everything was presented really nice and tasted really unique but still reflects their Korean/Thai roots! The flavors were fused beautifully and I recommend the restaurant for people that are fan of Asian food but with a tasteful twist.

Delicious food and wonderful staff. We tried spicy Korean noodles , bibimbap & iced tea. All three were delicious and full of flavours. Def going back again to try the rest of the menu.

Loved the food here! I got the tom yum soup and my spouse got the beef soup. Both were really well seasoned and fresh! The space is a bit cramped and there might be a fair bit of wait time if you go in the weekends, but apart from that everything else was amazing. The head chef himself came out to check in on the diners and I thought that was a sweet touch, he has a very warm personality which shows through in his food.

Overall great experience! The food always was surprising, tasty and well executed. In my opinion, the restaurant offers an amazing price/value and would recommend if you want to enjoy a more “upscale” cuisine.

I recently visited Kothai Republic and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was! From the starters of Pears and Beats and Chicken Toast to the mains of Chicken Noodle and Korean Spicy Noodle, the flavors and presentation were spot on. I highly recommend Kothai Republic for a casual dining experience, especially if you’re looking for delicious Korean cuisine.
