I was looking for Genji on Westheimer and was taken to the wrong address by the GPS. I made a turn into a parking lot and saw this little Japanese Gem. I was greeted by Apple who is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is great and the staff is great. Denny, the sushi chef was extremely nice and we conversated a bit. Since Covid, I really hadn’t stopped to talk long enough to other people. I enjoyed my time here and will return. I can’t believe I never heard or saw this place before for sushi. Aside from the friendly staff, the food is good.

I visited this place on a Saturday night. It was not busy at all, we were seated very quickly. Ambiance was very laid back and chill. Service was friendly and fast. The salmon sashimi was very fresh and the portion size was much bigger than most places. The chopped scallop was also very well served but I was not impressed with the taste, it was a little plain. The Salmon Teriyaki was delicious and a very good portion size for one person. They do not offer happy hour at any time or day but their prices are very reasonable to where you almost don’t even mind not having happy hour specials. It’s a good place to try if you want something close by not crowded and at a reasonable price at any time of the day.

Wonderful service and great safe sushi. Waiters are extremely good and timely and meet your every need, if that’s your thing. I just like the over the top service. The Shrimp Teriyaki is delicious and the spice tuna roll is a firecracker in your mouth that burst with flavors like a unsuspecting surprise on your tongue. The drinks compliment the food across the board.
