First visit, Friday evening, somewhat busy, we did not do the Hibachi. Egg rolls were some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Fried perfectly, not too greasy and flavored perfectly. The chicken Tom Yum soup was had a perfect balance flavors and spice. If you’re not used to spicy food it will “mildly hit you”. Trex roll and pink lady roll were amazing. T. rex had a nice fried crunch on the outside, the sauce was delicious. The pink lady although raw was delicious as well. Chicken fried rice was different but delicious. Not as greasy as what you’d find at your local Chinese take out location and maybe not as flavorful but the flavors it had were a perfect balance as well. Server was rushed at times but attentive. Nice ambiance, clean restrooms, we were thanked on our way out. Reasonable prices. Good experience overall.

Koto is really nice. The inside has a relaxing atmosphere. The sushi is definitely up to standard (and cheaper!) with other restaurants around. The only problem is that our server could have treated us a little better like the table behind us. We had to wrap our leftovers up because she never came back (passed by). But the host at the door is very friendly.

I don’t know why there isn’t a waitlist every time we go here. I think this is one of Mishawaka’s biggest kept secrets. They have such fun hibachi. We go for birthday celebrations. Their sushi is delicious as well.

Koto is always delicious and the service is among the many reasons that keep us coming back! My husband loves the fresh oysters. They even have special dishes other than the hibachi such as Orange Chicken and a can’t miss Pad Thai. Their Mai Tai is so tasty and even comes in a punchbowl version which is so fun for a girl’s night out. The hibachi tables are a great feature for a special dinner with family or friends. Highly recommend.

Went here for the lunch special where you get miso soup, salad, and 3 rolls from a set menu for $14. The soup and salad were good and everything came out fast. The service was also excellent. But the sushi itself, I cannot say it was that good. It did not seem fresh, it was warm/room temperature when we got it and it was not filling, I was hungry maybe 3 hours later. The restaurant itself is fairly dark so hard to tell how clean it is. I’m weary of getting any fish in indiana much less sushi and I can’t say I would go here again over freshness concerns…

We reserved a grill seat, then proceeded to wait 30 minutes as walk-ins were seated…slightly annoying. However their food was amazing! The employees were all very nice and got our orders in quickly. I ordered a Hibachi meal, so they cooked the meal right in front of our eyes, doing fancy tricks with their cooking utensils and the food they were cooking, making it an entire experince seated at the grill. I’m definitely coming back even though we had to wait.

Have come here many times and the cooks are always joyful, interactive, and fun to deal woth. Came here with my nephew and had a great experience!!! Will come again!! Koto for two was great food for a decent price for steak, lobster, scallops, and shrimp, along side plenty of other sides. Delicious
