I eat at a lot of Japanese restaurants in my travels. This one was I would say is good. The spring rolls are the small fried type. I did not ask but I was expecting the veggie shrimp rolls with peanut sauce. These were good though.

I’ve been here twice for my birthday free meal with my husband. You get to pick chicken or shrimp hibachi. I love how big the portion size is. I eat a lot, and I couldn’t finish. The food tastes great, and it’s fun to watch the chef.

If you go to Kotos and love the food do not order delivery or pick up because this mess is horrible. I love this place but the order I got today is the worst food I’ve ever had there. The rice isn’t cooked all the way the steak is cooked way too much you can’t even chew it and the onions are green so that’s not real encouraging. It’s so gross and Grubhub was just not real easy to work with so over all these places that don’t care what they serve us. I have so many reviews and most of them have negative comments. Get with that people.

Hibachi and Japanese meals cooked before your eyes by talented and entertaining chefs. Watching your food prepared is almost as much fun as eating eat. Giant portions, you will always leave with a full stomach and a doggie bag. My chef supplied me with all the Yum Yum sauce I craved, and my server refilled my pot of tea. All in all, a wonderful experience. I’ve been here a dozen times, and I plan on making a return visit very soon.

I’ve been here consistently throughout the years of living in Lynchburg. 4-5 years ago this was the place to go for hibachi. Now I just keep driving by and will continue to do so after yesterday evening. The place is dirty, so dirty that your shoes will stick to the floor. The once red/gold carpets are now BLACK. The oils and old food are stuck to the flat tops. They are in desperate need of a deep clean or maybe even a full renovation. The staff I have no problem with but at some point even they have to notice how dirty their workspaces are. I hope one day to return when this place gets turned around for the best.
