If your in Ellicott city Columbia, come in and try the hibachi and sushi at Koto Sake. All is very fresh. Fast seating, professional and entertaining chefs and the wait staff are polite, timely and attentive. The restaurant has a bar and booth for more private and quiet seating. They also have a beautiful water fountain as you walk in. Very cool.

Ordered for pickup the 1. Green Caterpillar Roll and Salmon Roll. With 40% off my order, it was around $14 total. Both rolls are incredibly tiny, especially the caterpillar roll. I’ve never seen a restaurant make “special” rolls this tiny before. Satff are rude too. I came inside to ask if my order was ready and who I assumed was the owner interrupted me mid-sentence to yell at a staff member across the restaurant. Their kids were also running around amok in the restaurant with their toys and scooters. Will not be going here again. Even with the discount, it was not worth it. No wonder they don’t seem to get much business.

After watching The Mario Bro Movie our son wanted the hibachi experience, so we found one near our home and made a reservation using Google’s automated assistant thing and it worked perfectly. We arrived 30 minutes early and they sat us immediately, offered us drinks & gave us the usual apps as we awaited the chef. We told them that it was our son’s 9th birthday and they showed him a little extra attention during his performance. The food was good & plentiful. We left very pleased. ✌

The rare (first) zero star review. This is barely even a restaurant. Rolls are TINY (think 50-65% of a normal roll). Fish was not fresh whatsoever. Salmon tempura was a joke. That was imitation crab, not real crab as specified. The wontons are a very disturbing yellow. Overall about the quality of gas station sushi. It didn’t even come with soy sauce. “Ramune” was just a normal soda. Took an hour just to make the food at 2pm.

Food was cool definitely could see it’s a family managed business. I didn’t feel the were attentive enough. The food did lack seasoning.

I left out of this establishment less than five minutes of being seated for hibachi. The atmosphere was dark, dingy, and gloomy. I did not feel safe sitting in their shaky seats which felt makeshift and unstable….like they could break down any moment now. They were also covered in some cheap plastic looking material or chair covers which was suspect as well. I’d hate to see what they looked like underneath. This establishment clearly doesn’t care about it’s atmosphere or it being inviting to it’s guests nor the safety of them as well. I would say it’s unfortunate that I didn’t get to try the food here, but considering all the above I wouldn’t trust it either.

One of the best Hibachi restaurants I’ve been to thus far. Enjoyed the low key atmosphere…kind of tucked away. Very authentic and reasonably priced. Good food and the ginger/yum yum sauce is amazing! Friendly service and enough food for 2 days… highly recommended

I received a 20% off Hibachi dinner coupon in mail and decided to go. My date and I decided on the Steak and Lobster since we were getting the discount. The food was delicious. However, with the exception of the rice and noodles, the portions were small compared to other Hibachi meals I had. Even the vegetables was skimpy. That was disappointing. There is a large drink list but no sparkling wine. The dining room could use a upgrade but the lobby is colorful.

Went here with family on Saturday, May 28, 2022. I’m from Rhode Island, and my go to for hibachi there is Shogun. Have to honestly say, that I wasn’t disappointed with the food or service here! Will definitely revisit, when I come back to the DMV area.
