We have been there twice now: once for hibachi and another time at a regular table. The decor is pleasant and classy enough. The food is actually quite good. We enjoyed the sushi and appetizers. The creme brulee dessert was a fail. The custard is an unattractive muddy green and the sugar layer is very thick and hard. Service was acceptable but not stellar. Hibachi chef was a pleasant gentleman, the experience lacked spectacle and awe. It was basic… The food came out good, however.

A Japanese cuisine restaurant located at the west side of El Paso, you can find sushi and teppanyakki here.

Highly recommended, better if you try to reserve with time in advance since it’s always very busy, specially during the weekends. Our waitress seemed pretty young but was very attentive and sweet. I’ve tried many sushi places in El Paso this is definitely one of the best. I considered the price very reasonable for the amount of food that comes in it. Something to improve will be hostess attitude, I had arrived to the restaurant and the host seemed to be busy on the phone with a costumer or something, while the other one instead of helping was just standing there. Overall the experience and the cuality was really good and I highly recommend it.

Took my family for Sunday lunch. I called in for reservations the day before and we were seated right on time.

We went to Koze last night for my daughter’s 18tg birthday dinner. Michael (or possibly Michah? It was loud I’m not sure if I heard his name correctly) was or hibachi chef and he was incredible!! He made my daughter feel so special and we all had an incredible time with some incredible good! We made sure to bring cash because we didn’t want to pay the extra 3.5% for using our credit card. I’ve seen many negative reviews about the service, however we had an awesome server as well. I would highly recommend Koze west! Outstanding!!

I did not have reservation for an standard table, but another customer came after me and they give them the table first. Very elite restaurant, so dress with your costly wardrobe dresses and you will have preferences. Also, the bar allows customers to be very drunk and disrespectful with other customers eating there. Manager saw this and didn’t do nothing to control the customer being drunk. Main thing here is to serve food and be family safe. Food was ok and good taste, but atmosphere got tense for me and my daughter being near the drunk customer. Manager need to pay more attention on drunk customers in the future.

We had to make a reservation there since we tried to go the night before but they were full. We have only been here one other time about a year and a half ago and weren’t really impressed. I guess we were thinking it would be better now. It wasn’t. The waitress had ZERO personality. She seemed to be busy the entire time with two younger ladies that were out to jave dinner and several drinks. We ordered an appetizer just like the other two couples at our table. They all got theirs and we waited. She took our order and my young son ordered the chicken. She immediately told us that kids meals do not come with vegetables. Why would they right? She brought out soup and salad(even though my husband said he didn’t want soup. She didn’t being me a salad like she did my husband. Instead of saying “oh I’m sorry, i forgot your salad, let me get it” she said “did you want a salad?” I had to confirm that mine did come with one right? The salad had a ton of dressing that was horribly bitter. Then the chef came out. We got Micah. He was very nice and basically the only good thing about our dinner. Once he started cooking, guess what? Our appetizer showed up! We were already half way through our meal so we sent it back! We asked for a drink refill and she brought me the wrong drink. Basically a bunch of things throughout dinner weren’t good. Then when we gave her our card to charge, there was a $3.00 fee TO USE OUR DEBT CARD! Sorry but thats part of doing business! Doubt we will go back.

It is hard to even think of anything good to say about this one. The shrimp tempura was soggy and limp. The sashimi was missing the Wasabi and the service was so poor we couldn’t even let the waiter know there wasn’t any Wasabi. Do your self a favor and stay clear of this place.
