take heed to the negative reviews on this place and DO NOT GO HERE! I’ve been going here for a year, it’s always trash. to top it off, they are rude and drinks are expensive. I only went because it was the only haitian restaurant in East Orlando. but thank GOD the other restaurant “LAKAY” Opened near it and it’s way better, more flavorful, and better service. Go there, do not waste your time and money here. if you do, don’t say I didn’t warn you!

I had high hopes for this place…but the food was really dry and cold, and really lacked any flavor or spice at all. I waited about 30 minutes so I expected the food to be freshly made but instead they gave me overcooked chicken that we probably sitting at the kitchen for a good 10 minutes. No apology for the wait period.

There’s some good food here. If you are familiar with Haitian food or West African food, I think you will like the flavor of the cooking here. The establishment is clean and they have a handful of tables inside. Ordering can be a bit awkward and slow. Not recommended while in a rush. People are polite, but I wouldn’t say the customer service great. Overall, a good option for real Creole food.

Terrible customer service!!!! Communication is terrible!!! We called ahead to place our order, drove 20 mins to find out that the place is closed at 8:45pm…the sign outside says they close at 9pm.

So I’ve been to this place a few times, and was never really impressed with the food because the flavor is super lacking. I went recently (7/22/23) only because this restaurant had a deal on the Zupp app for 50% off the fried chicken/fried pork platter. Upon showing the deal for redemption the woman goes “this is actually for a free drink” so she’s not honoring the deal as advertised. The reason I’m writing this review is because not only did she not honor the deal as advertised, but she lied about the “free” drink and still charged me for it which I only caught because I requested a printed receipt. Dishonest and misleading, not to mention the food is subpar at best. If you’re looking for a Haitian restaurant that has great food and service, Lakay Restaurant and Lounge recently opened up less than 10 minutes from this place, and they have actual Haitian chefs that know how to make authentic and delicious Haitian cuisine. I will never come here again.

The Lalo was good but it was not enough for the $20 they charged for it and and it wasn’t enough rice serve with it neither so the food is okay but it’s drastically over price The service is terrible. I waited almost 30 minutes for and it was a call in order, and the plantains wasn’t even cooked fresh it was actually refried. Cook first and then refrie again which made it hard and not edible

I do not recommend this restaurant! This food was not seasoned and super dry. I ordered multiple orders of the griot. The plantain was super dry and the fried pork. The rice had no flavor. Save your money! Haitian food is good but this place is horrible. 4.3 stars is unreal. This place needs to be below 2 stars.

I will never go to this restaurant again. Everything was super dry and unseasoned except for the oxtail themselves. Even still the quality was horrible, not to mention paying $65 for plates. The plantains were probably the driest thing next to their rice!
