I live in San Jose, but I drive all the way to this location because they are the best in the business. I know it’s a franchise, but for some reason the chicken taste a lot better here.

I decided to get Krispy Krunchy chicken with a friend who has never had it, when we entered the facility, the gentleman behind the counter was texting or browsing on something on his phone, after a few seconds of watching him while we are trying to figure out what we want to eat, we see him touch his nose, after touching his nose, he was on his phone again, right before the food was ready to be taken out of the fryer he touches his hair and rubs his face and then picks up the food basket. I’m not trying to be a difficult person but I wouldn’t want to eat at a place when someone is operating like that right in your face, we left and went to another location.

The Good Stuff. My family tried this place because of various food cravings. I must say the quality of the food varied wildly. The chicken, biscuits and shrimp were as good as advertised, and satisfied our cravings for those.

Definitely Krispy Krunchy Chicken, just not much seasonings for being Cajun. Some other reviewers of KKC have said it’s salty but I didn’t think so, just a bit bland. The blueberry biscuits definitely are way tastier than the bland plain honey butter biscuits, seemed very much baking powder biscuits. But one blueberry biscuit was falling apart and almost gooey in texture and the other one was overcooked or had sat too long under heat lamps and crispy almost cookie-like. I ordered the red beans and rice side. Nothing to rave about, just seemed like liquid smoke for flavoring. I must try jambalaya and mac & cheese sides next. Since Church’s Chicken is far and few nowadays, KKC is definitely a good alternative. I definitely liked the Krispy, fresh and hot chicken!

The chicken taste good. I prefer the Krispy Krunchy Chicken on Winton n Hesperian over this one only because its more fast pace so the chicken doesn’t sit more then 5 mins. The chicken still had the same great taste but not as hot or fresh. They do have a cool smoothy machine I have never seen before.

My friend and I ran across this place. We normally go to the one in Alameda. The blueberry biscuits are the bomb. The empanada- well .. try it and then post how you like it. Sometime you have to try something just once to know if you really like it. At least i was open to trying. The service was not stellar rather as a customer for the first time I felt unappreciated but maybe as employees they feel the same way too? It is what it is
