We called ahead on a Saturday to check out the menu and hours. The person on the phone was friendly and helpful. We asked if we needed a reservation and were told that it would not be a problem to get in. We told them we would be there about 8:30, as we were stopping in town to spend the night on a road trip. They closed at 9 so we were told it wouldn’t be a problem. That’s where the positive experience ended. We arrived as discussed and they had closed early, even knowing we were coming. And the staff was rude about it. Every restaurant in this town closed earlier than advertised hours. While we had thought this would be a good regular stop on a road trip we take often, we won’t make that mistake again. Don’t bother stopping at the KT’s, or even in Mobridge in general. On first glance it looked nice, but EVERYTHING was closed. Even the restaurant in the hotel we stayed in closed earlier than advertised. What is the point of advertised hours?!?! I only gave it one star because zero stars was not an option.

10oz Rib eye dinner for two and appetizers for $60 yes please. The charbroil on the steaks added the perfect fire grilled delight. Don’t fill up on the salad bar and the soup because the appetizers will be out fast. They are served very hot so an excellent opportunity to start or continue a conversation. I would recommend to family and friends. Thank you!

We arrived 2 minutes before the 4:30 PM opening. The door was open, but reception was a bit awkward & cold. We do know how to tell time & considered leaving but decided to be more professional. The room quickly filled up considering it was a Saturday evening, fisherman, church crowd, etc. The food is always great with a nice selection at the salad bar. Just don’t enter b/4 4:30 PM.

The food was decent once we finally got it. We waited almost an hour and a half before the appetizers came out(luckily we had access to the salad bar). Apparently they only cook one ticket at a time because when asked how much longer it would be, we were informed there was only one more ticket ahead of ours. If they had a cook that knew how to cook in a restaurant(working on multiple tickets at one time) I’m guessing the wait for food would be much shorter…

Three of us went there for dinner, it’s August and they had a Christmas tree up for decorations. Two of us ordered shrimp and one ordered BBQ ribs. Food was marginal at best, wait staff was not very friendly. Salad bar is limited but ok. Very disappointing.

First impression was typical ,seasonal SD decor. Menu was also typical, but had a few things such as scallops and non-battered shrimp that caught my eye. But I was quickly informed by the owner in a very paissed off tone: ” too expensive!”. Fine, I’ll go with the house special country fried steak, that so many reviews raved about. Total garbage, over cooked and prepared by the salt king himself. Instant mash potatoes with store bought gravy. Service was good, so they get one

It felt a lot like a church basement and a dinner put on by church ladies, which personally, I like. The food was ok. The waitress was really sweet. It was nice to see a salad bar.
