My friend and I were seated at the bar because the restaurant was booked with reservations. They have rooms for bigger groups as well. When I came, the sushi chef looked preoccupied more with their cater order than our orders. Our orders came out a little late, but I suppose to can be understandable.

This has good lunch specials they have bento box specials and a sushi special. I have had both and they are well priced and good. There is better sushi in the city, but it is conveniently located for some lunch if you work in the med center or rice village area. The sushi lunch special is around $10 and it has a decent amount of nigiri and around half a roll. Don’t forget to validate your parking when you go!

I absolutely love this place. Houston’s number one hotspot in my heart for fresh sashimi. There’s a really great deal called that gives to assorted sashimi for a real low price with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, mackeral, and even fresh shrimp. It goes great when paired with their hot sake. I love their happy hour specials with soft shell crab tempura and the kubo’s roll. Kubo’s remains my favorite mother’s day place and the mood of the place isnt too loud and crazy.

went for a big group b’day party. Can’t find a thing wrong to point at while I am usually pretty picky with the smallest of details. Sushi was great (so i heard… from the 10 others on the table) and the non-sushi items like the noodles and pork curry were delicious (so i tasted and 3 others). most of all the next morning nothing came up burping or burning the other way. The service was exceptional down to the water request (being cold but without ice) with subtle constant presence and bussing of the table. wine suggestions and sake’ suggestions were appropriate and accurately described. Vanessa the server/ waitress deserves kudos and so does Thuan the manager.

Having heard great things about this place, I expected something great… seems like the departure of their last chef really hit them hard, though. The sushi is just okay given what you can get elsewhere. I don’t really know I’d have a reason to come back.

Bento box is good and reasonably priced. I had uni, unagi and ikura. All were very fresh and nicely presented. Good local spot and is open all day. Nice for a late lunch or early supper.

Had the kobe steak rolls -first time I had kobe steak in any form, and it was AMAZING. I only went here the one time though and it was back in December with an ex, but I’m going back next week with a friend! I love this place!!
