I really liked the atmosphere. The interior is an authentic Chinese-style eatery. It made me feel like I was in China. The server Bruce Li was very friendly, chatty and knowledgeable. His engagement with customers was personal and warm. The food was good too. Bruce offered some recommendations which I enjoyed. There is enough parking in the lot.

We had a delicious meal at this restaurant. We got crab and pork and shrimp and pork soup dumplings, duck buns, and beef scallion pancakes. Everything was excellent and so tasty. We’ll go back and try the rest of the menu.

Lots of interesting dishes on the menu to try, but my friend and I narrowed it down to three to share. The Chicken Fried Noodles ($14.95) are prepared with homemade Lo Mein. Our spicy dish was Hot Pepper Tofu Skin Stir Fry ($18.95), a taste and texture new to us. The Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork ($20.55) was something we had before and I particularly had enjoyed. We got a 10 percent discount when I showed my previous Google review. Very enjoyable lunch.

Food is not bad but nothing amazing. It is one of the authentic Chinese restaurants in the area meaning it’s not Americanized or anything but among the authentic restaurants it is probably below average especially considering that this place is not on the cheap side. I would certainly come back if friends wanted to eat here but probably wouldn’t come back on my own unless it was really convenient or something.

The promise of authentic Chinese cuisine brought me here. I’m glad a friend came with me too, because each dish was something special. My favorite is braised pork belly, amazingly seasoned. The Kungpao chicken would be anyone’s favorite. Do not forget the Shanghai Meatballs either. Bringing more friends soon!

I recently dined at Kungfu Kitchen and was impressed with the quality of their food and the ambiance of the restaurant. The dishes were as delicious as always, and the decor really enhanced the dining experience. However, I was disappointed with the slow service and the lack of attentiveness towards customers. It’s important for a restaurant to make their guests feel welcomed and valued, and I hope Kungfu Kitchen can improve their service to keep their business at the top notch level. Overall, I enjoyed my meal at Kungfu Kitchen but would love to see some improvement in their customer service.

Parking lot available. They seemed a little short staffed. It took some time for us to get some water and for us to put our order in. We ordered the Cubed Cucumber Salad, Crab & Pork Soup Dumpling, Scallion Pancake with Beef, Braised Pork Belly in Clay Pot and Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork. I also ordered a side of white rice since it doesn’t come with entrees. I believe it’s an extra $1.50. It was strange, however, that they immediately brought out my bowl of white rice by itself so it sat there until my dinner came. The Cucumber Salad was good and definitely spicy. It’s great that they do have vegan items on their menu. The Scallion Pancake with Beef had good flavor but it doesn’t generally come with any dipping sauce which can make it a tad dry. There’s sauce in there as it’s wrapped up with the Beef. The Soup Dumplings were delicious but I had to ask for a soup spoon and generally what comes with Soup dumplings are vinegar and chili oil. The Braised Pork Belly in Clay Pot was the best tasting and was delicious but I was a little disappointed it didn’t come out in a small Clay Pot as expected. The crispy sweet and sour pork was crispy but didn’t have much flavor and the pork had a strange consistency. Service was alright, a little slow but it seemed like the restaurant had just opened and things were getting figured out.

The best Chinese food I’ve ever had; one of the best restaurants in Alexandria. We did take out, and the folks were very nice when we went to pick it up (The place looked great; would like to try eating in the restaurant next time). But the food – exceptional. Dan Dan noodles and dumplings were cry-worthy. Honestly everything was great. Going to make ordering here a regular occurrence.
