Absolutely just an amazing quality of food. I haven’t had this good of quality sushi in a while. They didn’t have very many customers around the time we went in but they went all out for us right after we ordered. The oysters with quail egg was amazingly must try! The presentation of the food that was given to us was top quality no short cuts for this sushi bar. I felt like I was back in Japan for vacation with the friendly staff we will definitely be returning customers for sure.

Great sushi place, a little on expensive side. Big and airy space, with sushi chef working in the center of it, nice decor, cool and casual atmosphere. Everything we ordered was amazing! Their fish is super fresh and they put the right amount of rice in their nigiri and rolls. I have to admit that I was not a fan of their miso soup but everything else makes up for it. The excellent and quick service from Linh deserves five stars in itself! She’s been very friendly and helpful

Going on Wednesday was definitely worth it because the it was salmon day. The fish tasted fresh. However, we were not given any wasabi or ginger until we almost finished eating! Other than that the food was great, but a little on the pricey side.

My wife and I came to dinner here on a Saturday night around 7pm and it was nice and quiet. The atmosphere is of a quaint little sushi shop with the chefs working our their craft. We decided to go with the #2 Omakase set. It included some oyster shooters topped with a quail egg, a Tuna Sashimi which had a very tasteful seaweed salad hidden underneath, a colorful array of 8 Nigri rolls and a lobster hand roll to conclude. The lobster roll was too good so we opted for a second. Def worth the time to check out!

The good: Fish was fresh and melt in mouth. Service was prompt and unobtrusive. The place was clean and was pleasing to the eye. The bad: But the rice on the rolls and nigiri was very sticky to the point of being mushy. It spoiled whatever was on it. So i ended up just eating the slices of fish on top and peeling off the rice from my sushi roll. I ordered set 1, and the app was an octopus mix salad that was too salty and too sweet. I eat rice almost every day and prefer it on the soft, sticky side. But even I couldn’t take their rice. My son ordered Wagyu Roll, but the rice overpowered everything.

Our visit to Kyodai was absolutely amazing! Opting for the Chef’s Choice Set, we were treated to the most exceptional sushi experience in Dallas. The freshness and deliciousness of the fish surpassed all our expectations. Our chef, Luis, impressed us with his kindness and attentive service. Unlike other restaurants where sushi is served regardless of if we had finished the previous course, Luis took great care in pacing our food. Recognizing that I’m a slow eater while my husband enjoys his meal quickly, Luis thoughtfully served each dish to my husband first, as he finished them faster than I did. He patiently waited for me to complete each sushi before serving me the next course. It was an incredibly considerate gesture that added a special touch to our dining experience. Needless to say, we’re already looking forward to returning to Kyodai soon!
