I have been a customer for 15 years, and I must say, this is one of the best restaurants in the county. The high quality of food is matched by the excellent service. It is BYOB (which in my eyes is a plus). The staff is super friendly to my kids, and in all my years going here I can recall a single bad experience.

Once we ate here, which was about 3 years ago, we honestly cannot find another sushi place that compares to the freshness. The rolls are big compared to other sushi restaurants and can get pricey, but totally worth it. My favorite roll is the Kyoto Roll which has salmon, yellowtail and tuna in the roll with a delicious eel sauce in it. Once you try this roll or this place, you’ll be dreaming of it. They don’t serve alcohol, which is ok, but sometimes you just want someone else to make a drink for you. I’ve never eaten the hibachi, so can’t comment on that. This review is strictly for the sushi. The staff and owner have always been very pleasant to us. It’s great for date night, or a night out with friends. I do take out most of the time. Everyone we referred here has never had a bad complaint. After writing this review, I must say…..I could go for some sushi right about now

Our favorite sushi restaurant. The selection of rolls is vast. And they are always made with the freshest ingredients. The service is friendly and quick. Just make sure when you take left overs home you ask for wasabi, soy sauce and chopsticks.

Best Sushi around my area. Never crowded, so it’s always a nice, quiet and relaxing dinner. Sushi tastes fresh, so no complaints there. But what keeps me coming back is their honey ginger tea its delicious.!

Literally the best place to go in Jackson. There’s a lunch special every day (except Sunday) till 3! Koto has great atmosphere and exceptional food – especially the Spicy Tuna Rolls

Great food , wonderful staff! Our kids had a great time and the Chef was very attentive to our children and never put anything on their plate without asking if they wanted it first . That alone gave them a fun experience!

Horrible experience. Let me start, upon arriving, the guy at the door asked if we wanted hibachi, he did not even welcome us, and made it seem like we were not welcome there. He pointed to a few seats and said go there. Once we sat down, we got drinks, and looked through the menu, then we placed our order. When the cook momi arrived, he either looked like he was new or just did not want to be there. We tried to start conversation with him, but he was not interested in talking. He said to us that he was practicing his English as he just came here from Bangladesh. That’s right India ! Moving forward, Momi got into an argument with my friend’s wife about how she doesn’t like to eat cooked vegetables when she declined. Now, that was totally unnecessary for him to lecture her on why she needs to eat them. Not only that, but, there was a orange scallop. Now I’ve never actually seen one before and when we asked him why it was orange, He told us it was a male scallop, that’s how they look. Well, I googled it. It’s actually a female when it’s getting ready to reproduce for anyone who wanted to know. The food was drenched in so much soy, it lost its flavor. The grill was turned up way too hot, and most of the food was burnt. The hibachi experience was non existent. The only thing that was done was an I heart u on the grill due to the manager being nearby. The waiter was awful, he was the same guy who seated us. He was rude, uncooperative with the ice cream, it shouldn’t be hard to make half chocolate and vanilla when your giving me two scoops already but I can only choose one. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years, through multiple owners, including the original owner “Mike”. This place has lost its appeal and lost a customer for life. There are plenty of other hibachi places that I would happily give my money to. Kyoto, I will not miss you
