Absolutely delicious! The lady at the he front desk of our hotel recommended L & T as good local food. She was absolutely right! Everyone in our family left full and happy. Our waitress recommended the chili rellenos, and I second that! Best I’ve ever had! My daughter inhaled her BBQ pork sandwich, I barely got a picture! The other three plates were attacked before pictures could be taken, but all dishes ordered were fresh, delicious, and just amazing!

This place is great! Get off the highway and go! Fried chicken was freshly cooked after I ordered. It came with two sides, so I had the house salad and soup. Soup was awesome and the salad was large. My friend had the brisket burrito and loved it. They make their own salsa and green Chile sauce and he said they were great. Good service topped off a great lunch experience!

Thanks to all of the reviews here, our family drove past the fast food near the highway to eat at this downtown gem. I had the day’s special of a couple of ribs, a chicken breast, and two sides. The ribs were so tender that they fell off the bone, and the fried chicken matched what everyone has said about them. My side salad was more substantial and varied than I expected, though the baked beans tasted no better than canned – the only minor disappointment of my meal.

Traveling across the country by car and enjoying local dining as we go. L&T did not disappoint. We walked into a full restaurant of happy locals enjoying everything from fried chicken to biscuits and gravy. The pork tenderloin sandwich was a perfect portion. If you want to go outside of the box, try the Crazy L&T burger. Not a normal burger with the addition of a fried egg, a grilled hot dog, ham and pineapple. For good measure add a grilled jalapeño. You need to leave the interest to find this gem in downtown Goodland but it is worth the time.

We passed through this town on our way to Kansas City. A local store owner recommended it so we gave it a shot. The staff was super friendly but the food stole the show. The chicken tenders were great and the portions were more than enough. Not sure when we’ll be back through but this place will definitely be in return list when we hear back East.
