The food was amazing! As a Mexican student at Purdue, I was so happy to find a place that gave me a little piece of home. I’d recommend the tacos, chilaquiles, the horchata (Mexican rice milk drink), and the green salsa. Remember to put lime on your tacos for an extra bit of freshness and juiciness!

We came here on recommendation from a friend and grabbed some takeout. The food here is fantastic – we had a quesadilla and tried a few of their tacos. Everything was spot on. They included mounds of fresh cilantro and cebolla on the tacos and such a generous portion of meat that I had to munch those tacos from both ends. The meats were nicely browned and spiced. The fajitas are alright, but not as good as the tacos.

Great authentic Mexican food, great prices, huge portions, and our server was so sweet and attentive. Delicious margaritas, too! It’s definitely a hole-in the-wall type place that’s easily missed, but it certainly does not disappoint. I will absolutely be returning!

Yum!! Fresh and tasty tacos. I had two al pastor and one carne asada. The salsa has a little bit of heat, but is packed with authentic flavor.

We were in West Lafayette and we were looking for something to eat and we stumbled upon La Aldea. The food was excellent! The chips were a little salty, but the salsa was great. I would call this a hole in the wall restaurant, and that’s where you normally get great food. La Aldea didn’t disappoint.

The last two times we’ve ordered food has been poor quality. The queso, which costs $10 has come in a container half the size it did the first time. Probably a 6oz container. And there has been no flavor in it at all. Just taste like white cheese. Tostadas came incorrectly also. Probably won’t be back

Absolute worst Mexican dish ever to be set in front of me! Absolutely zero flavor on my dish and extremely way over seasoned on my fiance’s. And might I add way over priced for the quality of food we received. If zero stars could have been given this would be the place I gave it. Absolutely ridiculously horrible. ZERO STARS!!! WOULD RATHER HAVE TACO BELL and trust me that’s saying something not impressed or satisfied AT ALL!
