I love this place so much that I went back 2 days after my first visit. Staff at La Bamba, including the Chihuahua, made my dining experience super enjoyable.

I have never seen my boyfriend enjoy his food more than when I took him here. We had the Pollo en Mole and the Burrito Yucatan and I pretty much had to hold him back from licking the plates. Their service was excellent making sure the drinks were never empty and they were always smiling and friendly.

As you drive in to the the parking lot, the first thing you notice is the over abundance of outdoor covered seating. I say “over abundance” because for a Saturday evening at 7pm, the place was nearly empty indoors and out.

Update: August 14th, 2022. We dined inside the restaurant for the first time in awhile. I got a taste of what real, homely service feels like again and it was quite refreshing. Speaking of fresh things, the food was perfect! I ordered a #6 burrito w/ground beef, no beans, extra rice. The amount of extra rice is exactly how much I was hoping for. I LOVE THE RICE. The ground beef was tasty and cooked just right. The burrito was NOT drowning in the sauce and cheese which also wasn’t overwhelming the flavor of that delicious ground beef. The owner is a fantastic person, very patient and a very hard worker. The service is helpful, so patient, and friendly.

Recently went here for Mother’s Day and they were having some issues with the grill. No problem, we told them we’d wait and that we are patient.

Most authentic Mexican food in the Sandy area. Come see Pepe in the mornings. Its a couple blocks away from the main highway and there’s plenty of parking for all the weary travelers going up or coming down from Mt Hood. The flavor is bold and the service is great! There are to go parking spots for convenience. A full bar with great liquor options. Who wants a heavy margarita? Who wants to play the lottery? Expect quality, not speed.
