Saturday lunch. Had the Bo Kho/beef stew which was very solid, good beef and very well portioned, though a little on the sour side. Excellent baguette. Came with a friend who ordered the rib bun bo hue but indicated he wished the rib was braised a bit longer, though otherwise good. Would definitely be up for a return visit.

Gotta say, the decor of this place is a little random. There’s huge “desk lamps” outside, there’s “French-inspired” art inside, and a huge TV. Huge. The menu is kind French, kinda American steak house. It can’t decide whether to be a fine dining restaurant or a sports bar.

Experienced brunch here! They have different food items for brunch and dinner on the weekends. I got the Bun Bo Hue with the huge beef rib. It wasn’t the super traditional dish but still good. It was a bit tough to cut the beef in my bowl but I noticed others who ordered got a large plate where they took the beef rib out to cut. The bun bo hue didn’t come with shrimp paste which was disappointing. The atmosphere was upbeat; music playing and sports on their many TVs! The drinks were pretty and delicious! There was outdoor and indoor seating and the overall decor and ambience was very nice and eclectic!

We got a chance to try their brunch menu in this new restaurant. Since they have full bar in here, and have a huge TV on the wall, it’s nice place to watch games and have fun hang out in here too. The cocktail collections are tasty and pretty.

Greatly designed for a sport and social dining. There is plenty of patio space and indoor, too. I like the openness and high ceilings of the restaurant. Food is definitely on an upscale of French and Vietnamese fusion. Although I wish they serve a better portion that would matched the prices.

I Truly enjoy eating here at La Barrique! Located in the heart of Vietnam Town, La Barrique is a French/Vietnamese Cuisine that offers Delicious comfort food that are Flavorful and Affordable.
