I would like to say that I’ve been coming to this establishment since they opened. I’ve become friends with the owner. I’ve watched her highs and lows with this business. Their food is amazing. I have had very few problems over the last 5 years with food and when I have I have politely expressed it with my server or the owner. They were gracious to resolve it. Prices rise and lower. Worker turn over is common in every restaurant. Just know for La Calle, their food is fresh and made with love for their customers❤️

The staff were friendly. Ordered the fajita steak with rice and refried beans. The rice and drink were the only decent parts of the meal. The steak was terrible (not carne asada as described by the staff). Nearly all the pieces of steak had hunks of fat within them, and all were chewy. The refried beans had a sweet taste. It’s definitely not worth the money spent and won’t be back.

Food, atmosphere and service were all excellent! The ONLY issue was the chips have to be paid for and they were SO salty and im pretty sure store bought. This was our first time going but we will be returning. Thank you so much for doing local flavor coupons!!!

They are highly over priced. Drinks are too expensive not to taste the alcohol in at. They’re literally $4-$5 higher than any other mexican restaurant. They don’t even serve chips n dip I’ve been to nicer communities Mexican restaurants and paid a lot cheaper. However, they do have great customer service.

Maria took the time to explain the new menu items to me and made some great recommendations. This place is an absolute treasure and one of the best restaurants in Birmingham.
