I had fun interpreting the menu, my rudimentary Spanish was ill equiped. The sauces were excellent. Food was hot and fresh. The meats were barely flavored. That would be the shredded chicken and the beef. The red sauce was excellent. The cheese in the enchilada was also good. Overall 4…just not quite that Friday cheat you look forward to.

Food is good, but service is terrible. We got the wrong plate and got told “I didn’t take your order” instead of trying to fix the problem. Waitress had an attitude since we sat down, she would come “check” on us, but it was more of a walking by asking if everything was good and before we got a chance to even say anything she was already gone. Anyways she was the only person with an attitude everyone else treated us good

Were in the look out for a mexican restaurant out of lousiana and we found la carreta we stop by to eat here before continuing to our hometown texas the food was great the rice the beans there is no horchata asado or chile verde but theres other great dishes i love the birria consome by itself i try it here sorry but it was toooo salty i understand its ment to be for the tacos but i love it as a soup here are the dishes

People giving 5 stars must lead a very sheltered lives. This place has terrible service and the manager couldn’t care less. I ordered a taco salad with chicken. I got one with steak and sent it back. The server asked my daughter if she wanted fish taco fried or grilled. We all heard her say fried…she got grilled. My husband asked for a ground meat chimichanga and bean soup. The waiter came to clarify pinto or black bean soup. He’s said pinto…guess which one they brought…black beans. Also, they brought steak chimichanga instead of ground meat…all the while they are trying to fix all these things I’m still waiting for my salad with chicken. I finally reminded d them I’m still waiting for my salad…wait for it…they brought me the same steak salad I had already sent back !
