Fantastic, I highly recommend. Had the mole with chicken and it rocked my socks clean off. Earthy and rich sauce with perfectly cooked chicken. Tortillas and rice were fresh and hot. Our food came within 10 minutes of ordering and the staff are kind, attentive and speedy. Eat here!!!

I got the fish tacos and they were juicy, flavorful and just the right amount! I haven’t had a fish taco this good in a long long time. Highly recommend this place for non-vegetarians. They also have a salsa bar and they were all delicious. Only negative would be that there are not a lot of vegetarian options and the choices that are available were just very cheesy. Apart from that, we loved it. There is also a Hot Cakes right next door for a delicious dessert.

The food here was pretty good. We tried the guac and chips, lamb birria, chicken mole, and tacos al pastor. My favorite dish was the tacos but everything was pretty good. I feel they give too many chips for the amount of guac though. The tacos, mole, and lamb were all a bit sweet which I liked, but it seems some people don’t enjoy that. Overall I might come back again for the pork tacos.

Saw the various reviews online and went here. Ordered the Tacos Al Pastor and Lamb Birria and it was absolutely delicious (and recommend by the servers). Definitely will come here again when I’m looking for Mexican food in Seattle.

I had the best green posole at this place once and I’ve never forgotten it. It would be great if they added it to the regular menu. Love the food at this place in general. Others seem to agree. I’ve seen both Russel Wilson and Macklemore here.

La Carta de Oaxaca is a Mexocan food restaurant in the heart of Ballard Ave section of things. It’s known for its authentic taste, good size plates and fresh tortilla chips. They make their sauces and salsas which are always delicious. Their menu is a good size and do they everything right. Service here is always grget, very friendly, pretty quick and prices per portion are amazing. Would definitely recommend coming here for a good Mexican food meal and drink.

Authentic Mexican food. The owner is from Oaxaca. I had the Paloma Oaxaqueña, Chips and Guacamole, Lamb Birria and Entomatadas. The lamb was cooked to perfection. Falls right off the bone and melts in your mouth. The guacamole was really good too. There’s a self serve salsa bar inside as well. Sat in the patio around 8:45 PM on a Thursday and the food was quick. The patio ambience in Ballard is just lovely and a nice touch.

I just had an experience at La Carta De Oaxaca that inspired me to delete my 5 star review from 3 years ago and post this updated review.
