Very attentive staff, reasonable prices. The guacamole allowed the avocados to shine. I had the mole sauce, it was good, very savory, a little heat, nice and thick, very well balanced. I loved the interior. The dimly lit high ceiling made it feel like we were out doors. The bright colors and well lit tables were warm and inviting.

I love what La Catrina Mexican Restaurant did to the old Hyde Park Brewing Company. Colorful, festive, and fun. Reminds me of being back in San Diego. Very nice family and staff. Will be back and wish them all the best

Formerly Hyde Park Brewing Co. They kept the big bar and the big back room for large parties. The decor is authentic and fun. Went there for lunch and ordered the 2 burrito lunch combo. I was stuffed and my wife had to take one of hers home. Dinner could be pricey depending on what you order but the food is very good and the lunch combos are a great deal. Will definitely be back.

Went last night and the food was fresh and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Four of us had the frozen mango margarita, la catrina margarita on the rocks, tortilla soup, chicken flautas, enchilada sampler, and tacos oaxaca. They also served chips with salsa and refried bean dip which was super tasty.

Lively and upbeat venue with colorful decor and a general good vibe. Ate at the bar as we usually do. Found the bartenders delightful and helpful as they served up most excellent super-sized Margaritas. The food, however, did not impress overall. While everything was fresh, the chicken, steak and pork in the Fajitas and Tacos we ordered were all on the dry side and not particularly flavorful though the shrimp were quite tasty. The portions were very large and so the value seemed reasonable. Would certainly consider coming back for drinks and maybe a Guacamole.
