I love Mexican cuisine. I have to say, this food was absolutely delicious. It came to the table fast and hot. I was really impressed with the flavor. Even the portio s were great and the presentation was nice. The decor was great and was typical of what you’d expect. Entering the restaurant, we immediately had a seat. I have zero negatives in terms of food and facility. There were 2 downsides. First. We waited for a while to get our salsa and chips. The portion size was well below the usual expectation. The salsa was a tad spicy, which is good. It lacked the tomato flavor I’m used to. The service was slow. Staff were possibly short-handed, but if when we requested more salsa, it took at least 5 mins or more. The upside to service was I asked for a small to-go cup for tapitio, and they just gave me the whole bottle!!!!!!!! I’m not disappointed and would like to visit again.

So glad we picked this Mexican place to try out, there were plenty of other places to go but the food was great! I got the Tex mex tacos and everything about them was perfect. Even the Mexican rice was perfect! The chips were awesome too, they need to give more salsa as it’s very small but even the salsa was amazing!

I decided to do take-out, I actually thought this was a different Mexican restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious! They would have gotten a five, however the Flan desert was missing. They did say to come back and they would refund me. The dinner prices were from $14-$25, plenty of food.

Many of the places at Ormond Beach close early we found out! We had eaten at a couple of places and decided we wanted Mexican food still many were closing at 8:00 pm so we drove by La Catrina . We got fajitas for 2 , way more than we could eat, hands down the one of the best Mexican places we have been to. Service

Blessed be a Monday off after the start of 2023! A hike in Bulow Creek State Park in the early morning followed by an enjoyable lunch at La Catrina in Ormand Beach. Diet Coke with lime, sweet tea, chips & salsa, and our lunch orders, Carne Asada and Burrito Mexicana, hit the spot. My wife says it was the best burrito she’s had. Fresh and tasty Mexican food in a clean, comfortable setting with great service. What could be better!?
