We were passing through looking for lunch and went here because it had the most stars for Mexican food, and now I know why! The mole was delicious and the spinach enchilada was stuffed with fresh, flavorful spinach—not over cooked and mushy. Service was great, Drinks were great. Atmosphere was great. Prices were very reasonable with good portions. Loved the salsa served with chips too! Can’t go wrong with La Chata Cocina.

Covington has gone Mexican!! We had been eyeing this spot for quite some time and finally decided to try it. Boy were we happy we did and we definitely will continue to return. The salsa and chips are authentic and VERY good. They accommodate all of our needs and the cuisine is more on the traditional, authentic Mexican food rather than the Americanized Mexican imitators out there. Keep in mind also the variety of seating environments. For a smaller place you can sit at a booth, the bar, a family table, or go outside on the patio. There definitely is food and seating to meet everyone’s taste. The service was superb as well! Nos regresamos muy pronto! Que Vale ️ ❤️

Love LaChata. They are always nice and do their best to serve their customers. The restaurant is always clean. Great food and drinks yesterday we took our dogs and sat outside. They brought our dogs water and checked on us frequently.

I don’t say this lightly… this is the best American Mexican restaurant I’ve seen in Washington. Great arroz con pollo, awesome house-made hot sauce, excellent margaritas, and super fast service! Highly recommended!

Food was ok, but for almost 25$ I would of expected a bit more guac and sour cream for the fajitas. There was hardly any, about a tablespoon of each. Food was good, just over priced compared to others.

Waitress and service was fast. Granted business was slow but I mean fast. Our appetizer was out in about 8 minutes, our mains were out before we finished the apps. The waitress was friendly but brief. She was at the counter putting away stock. Definitely not hardly working. The food portions were generous, the flavors were good but not exciting. They need to do something flavorwise to distinguish themselves from other Mexican restaurants. Will I go back? Absolutely. Good Mexican restaurants are a find. Excellent Mexican restaurants are a treasure.
