I lived in Wichita for many years, and La Chinita was one of my favorite places. Having moved several years ago, we make it a point to visit when we are in the area. Although the restaurant has changed location and ownership, the food is still made with the same recipes and is still what I remember. Our favorites are the flautas, burritos, and Montereys (wife orders the Jr Special #1).

The wait staff are really kind, and very good at customer service. However, the food is subpar. I ordered a lunch taco salad (small) which came out to over $10 (no additions), and had maybe 2 oz. of chicken. I really hope the business improves the food quality- they are nice people who I hope succeed!!

This used to be one of my favorites. I ordered the Mexican steak. I received the T-Bone. If there’s multiple steaks, then I don’t understand why my waiter didn’t verify. I’ll eat this mistake, but I won’t make the mistake of eating here again. This is tragic.

Unladylike attitude and uncalled for discrimination towards disabled delivery driver using the drive thru. No, I cannot walk in there. My walker and wheelchair was in plain view through my car windows and I explained that I am permanently disabled and have a broken right ankle. Never going back there due to horrible customer service. I never said anything about how you do your job…only said to myself that I wish I had known the other bag needed to go in first. I have extra large GrubHub bags just for delivering big orders.

Food was subpar, didn’t have much of a taste. Taco meat lacked any taco seasoning. Chorizo was subpar and had no taste. Refried beans was bean goop. Can’t say the food was terrible but we won’t return.

In from Kansas City and love authentic Mexican food. This place was spot on. The service was A+ and the food was amazing. First day I had the pastor tacos and they were really good. They cool with pineapple juice in the meat instead of the pineapple on top ( the way I am use to) the flavor was perfect. The next day I and the fajitas beef and chicken combo. I was rather happy they did not bring it out on a hot plate because if you don’t keep stirring it that tends to burn or over cool the meat. The chicken was really juicy and tender and flavor was incredible. I would go back and will go back next time I am in the area. The food was great but service was amazing, just a really friendly place to grab a bite.

Brought my family to Wichita for the weekend and found this awesome little place. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The service was outstanding. Never an empty drink at our table. We really enjoyed it. Definitely stopping here again.
