My friend Jeff Gibson has been coming here since the 80’s. He told me he wanted to take me and the team to have some authentic Mexican. He delivered. Cool little spot in a residential community which makes it feel more “homey”. Great service; and big portions of tasty home cooking. I’ll be back.

Hidden Mexican neighborhood restaurant in old Santa Ana mixed residential, industrial area near train station. Been here since 1950.

Small, intimate family run restaurant connected to a small corner market. Best enchiladas and burritos- oh, and chicken soup too. Not exaggerating here. Rice and beans hit the spot with right balance of onion/garlic.

The restaurant was clean, and the employees were friendly. I went for a cheese enchilada because I only eat seafood; I’m a pescatarian. Unfortunately, the cheese enchiladas I will not purchase them again. The beans and rice were delicious! And their prices are great. I did see some delicious-looking food coming out of the kitchen.

I was looking for a place to eat near the Amtrak station and stumbled upon this gem two blocks away. We were in and out very quickly. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with some nachos, some of our party had the pork special and I had the homemade chicken tamale. When it comes to Mexican food and it’s the first time going to a restaurant you never know what to expect, this will meet and exceed all your expectations. You can see by all of the teams they support and the pictures on the wall that this is an established family run business. they also have plenty of parking so if you drive just passed the restaurant and pull into the driveway you’ll see plenty of spots to park. we went for lunch and although the restaurant was full there was not a long wait. If you’re planning to take a train or come into the station anywhere around lunch time I truly suggest trying this restaurant.

This has been our families go to Mexican restaurant for decades. Just the sauce on the enchiladas is worth the trip. Quaint small family atmosphere. The real deal. Enjoy

This place makes me wish I lived in the neighborhood. We live in Fullerton, but husband and I made plans to meet up here because It is just a few blocks from the Metrolink station and he was driving in from Los Angeles to pick me up before we went down to a show at the Segerstrom Center, which is only a 15 minute drive.

My favorites are the Chile con carne over a beef tamle and their refried beans. It’s a small establishment inside, but they created a dining area outside to allow for more dine-in customers.

Stumbled upon this place and decided to go in. Very clean, nice staff and the food was very good. Had a cheese enchilada and a beef tamale. Prices are reasonable and the service was quick. Will go back. Sorry about the enchilada….I cut into it before I remembered to take the photo.
