As a Latino of Mexican decent, couldn’t have asked for a more Mexican based restaurant. Excellent food and service. Passed it plenty of times but only recently stopped by. A hidden gem for sure. Momentarily their menudo gave me a flashback to my time in Guerrero. Unfortunately we realized too late we didn’t have any cash on hand to leave as tip like we usually do when we sit down and eat somewhere 🙁 . We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to eat actually GOOD + AUTHENTIC Mexican food and to support local small (I think family owned) business.

We visited this place on 09/29/2022 for dinner. We did not want to go to a fancy plate place as they usually leave something to be desired as far as authenticity. We were not disappointed here. It was a small and simple place which is what we like. Upon entering, the place was clean and not full of patrons. They did have a constant flow of customers for to go orders. We were immediately greeted. The prices seemed to be very good. When asking about the menudo, I was given a sample by Tio Mon. It was delicious, but I chose the five taco special. Buttercup opted for two gorditas. Everything was delicious! So delicious, that I ordered a burrito to go. Tio Mon came from behind the register to personally thank us for coming in and shook our hands. You won’t get that at the fancy plate places. I wanted to make sure my burrito made it back safe, so I buckled it in for safety. When we are back in the area, we will definitely return. We highly recommend this place for good Mexican food!

This place is a nice little small place with some good food haven’t had a bad thing there yet. I have had tacos which are great and they have some snacks too which is cool. They have alot of diffrent food there. Got to try more stuff. I do recommend it. Parking is alittle tight to find in a food rush but any other time it’s good.

Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Yummy food! Location has plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant is in need of new paint, but don’t let that stop you from trying them out. Tio Mon has a good selection of standard Mexican food.

First off, we are picky… BUT Seriously great, authentic Mexican food. We had tacos (carnitas, barbacoa, and chicarrón en salsa), and a torta de milanesa. Everything was so fresh, authentic flavors. We now wish that we lived closer. Don’t miss out on this little spot!

Best Taqueria in Rockwall county, there isn’t a thing on their menu that is bad. Great service and they are obviously very passionate about their food. My family regularly get Carnitas, Barbacoa, or Lengua by the pound.
