We enjoyed the first Dia de Los Muertos tasting menu dinner at La Cocina Port Townsend. Everything was very flavorful and delicious! The Chicken Molé was just the right amount of spicy, Pozole was super fresh and flavorful, and the Chocoflan was extra tasty.

La Cocina is truly a gem in Port Townsend. The food is fresh, deliciously prepared every time from the fresh tortillas to spicy sauces. We frequently visit with our picky 5 year old and are so grateful they also have a pancake on the menu so he has something he loves at La Cocina too. On top of the food, the owners and staff are just wonderful people. Highly recommend.

I love La Cocina’s fish tacos! The rockfish and veggies are so fresh. The sauce is flavorful, but not too spicy. Even the tortilla chips and guacamole are amazing! I highly recommend La Cocina ❤️❤️❤️

The food and service is amazing! Everything is fresh and made to order. The best part is the hand made tortillas! I ordered the chilaquiles which were delicious, but a little spicy for my taste buds. Nevertheless, it’s a very cute and cozy little spot! I highly recommend it!

The tacos here are absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. The shells did their job and made a nice complement to the food. The chips with guac and salsa were good along with it. My friend got the Chicken Mole but it only had a very small amount of chicken in it — about half a taco’s worth. If you get the Mole be warned about that if it’s what you’re looking forward to.

This is about to be my first stop for food every time I come back to Pt Townsend! Huevos rancheros were incredible, drinks were great and service was super friendly.

We moved from San Francisco to Port Townsend, La Cocina is the best Mexican food in town and reminds us of some our favorite taqueria’s in the Bay. We enjoy walking downtown and having some tacos, we are always greeted warmly and enjoy supporting the restaurant. If you’re ever visiting PT, be sure to make La Cocina your go to. They also sell their handmade tortillas at the Co-op!

10/10, or more stars if I could give them – highly recommend! Walked into this colorful, vibrant, cheery little place… warmly welcomed by all staff, who were attentive but not annoying. The entire place and its restrooms were spotless! Then the food came… every bite was delicious!!! Huevos rancheros with fresh corn tortillas made in-house, perfectly spiced beans, great crema sauce with pickled onions for a delightful touch… sunny side up eggs with crispy edges, avocado was perfectly ripe finished with excellent seasoning and queso fresco. Sooo scrummy! He had the daily sandwich special — a little too much mayo, but otherwise one of the best sammies he’s ever had… ham, cheese, avocado… I mean, look at that cheese-pull pic! Will be returning to Port Townsend, but will first make sure it’s a day that this place is open. It’s abundantly clear these women are passionate about their food and the experience they provide to all who walk through their doors. Well done!

Absolutely incredible. The freshness of the ingredients has spoiled my tastes forever; in particular, the handmade tortillas have opened my eyes to what a proper tortilla should taste like. My family is talking about driving back out to Port Townsend from Seattle with friends just to eat here.
