We recently visited La Costita Mexican Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was delightful, and the prices were reasonable. While we haven’t frequented this place often, every time we’ve visited, the food, service, and ambiance have been consistently outstanding. Upon being seated, we were treated to complimentary salsa and chips, which added to the welcoming feel of the place. We highly recommend it!

Nine of us gathered in the back room today to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The staff was wonderful about getting us settled there. It’s a cozy room with wonderful decorations on the walls. Our food was good and we all had a great time.

Food was okay for a Mexican restaurant in the Portland area. I had the Chilli Verde Burrito. Good for the area but not that authentic unfortunately. The salsa was a good 4 stars. Service was a little slow but very friendly when they came around which was infrequent. I had to get up and order another beer from the bar after my drink stayed empty for 5 minutes. The refried beans were some of the best we’ve had. I would eat here again if in the area but would probably try another restaurant first. Good, but not great.

We loved the food and service! I found La Costita when searching for a Cinco de Mayo catering restaurant, which was a great find since everyone loved the tasty food and variety we got. We ordered a few days in advanced and the owner was very friendly and flexible with the variety we ordered. The food was ready as scheduled and it the staff was super nice to help me load my car in the rain.

I had ordered two meals and had a modified order. Not only was half of my order missing, my special instructions were crossed out. We asked for utensils to eat. Nothing. No napkins. They didn’t add sauce to the enchiladas that we got. But, enough cheese to clog arteries.

Yum mexican, cute restaurant. Wonderful to sit in or take away, the best deal being the dinner/lunch combos. Very fast service & large portions. Only negative I have is that when sitting in they have a tendency to rush you out of the door. A couple times visiting we have been brought the check like 15 minutes after food came out then regularly checked on until we left. Not the best experience but i’ll allow it due to that delicious pulled beef chimichanga.

I am impressed for how busy they are they handle the situation well , they take more or less 20 minutes to prepare a take out dinner and they messed up our order only once but they gave us a credit for the missing food we paid for and the following time they had it on file so we had no issue in using the credit . I love in particular the burrito with the shredded beef (but it happened quite a few times to find inside a whole big piece of fat meat that was not pleasant ) we also like the chimichanga pork and the taquitos. The carne asada is totally hit and miss, once it’s full of flavor and the time after it barely has any taste and it’s even hard to cut. Not a fan of the chicken quesadilla. I would say this , their food is very good although not the best in the world.

Good food but the prices are a touch high. We came in here right around lunch time for food. There was no wait at all to get a table. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I ordered the beef enchiladas and was not disappointed. They were absolutely perfect. I did see a few more menu items I would love to try. I will definitely be coming back here soon. I love finding another great Mexican restaurant to eat at.
