Great restaurant just beside Highway 24. There are very few restaurants near the capitol reef national park it is one of the best Mexican restaurants in this region. They have great atmosphere to welcome hungry travelers on road trip. They have ample parking, nearby gas station and easy accessibility for everyone. Highly recommend.

Probably the best Mexican food I’ve had!! Stumbled upon this place on our way out of capital reef and so glad we stopped! Way better than any Mexican place we have back home. Lots of people complaining here about the prices, but for what it is and the location it’s about what I would expect, definitely not outrageous.

Much needed iced beverages after exploring Capitol Reef! I enjoyed a blended strawberry margarita and my boyfriend had a traditional margarita. Followed by sopaipilla with honey and vanilla ice cream. We enjoyed our visit.

We loved this restaurant. I had a salad with shredded beef and it was so good we went back again the next night.I should also mention that the service was excellent. Terry was great.

Good food at fair price considering you are in the middle of nowhere. Full bar and straight forward menu. I had the beef chimi . Came with rice and beans, chips and salsa. I ate it all.

La Cueva’s food is Very delicious, much better than the food of another 4.7-point Mexican restaurant in Torrey!

This place has got to have the worse Mexican food ever. The salsa had a very weird flavor, the chips were tough, my chicken burrito had ZERO flavor. Not an ounce of season including salt added to the meat.

We stayed at the hotel behind this restaurant and was recommended by the staff to eat here. The food was beyond delicious and we greatly appreciated how large the portions were after hiking 8 miles in capitol reef. I had the chicken tamales (each were huge and one was plenty) and my bf had the carne asada. Tamales are my favorite Mexican dish and these did not disappoint!! I was so happy to reheat the second one for breakfast the next morning.

The food is decent but way overpriced. Because it’s a tourist area, that’s to be expected. A family of three ate for about a hundred bucks.

If you like Mexican food and margaritas surrounded by red rock after you fill up your car cause it shares a building with a gas station this is your sign.
