One of the best places to eat in Huntsville. This is a higher-end, classy Mexican restaurant with amazing food, excellent service, and a fun, lively atmosphere. The dining area is clean, contemporary, and bright with natural light through the large windows. The entire kitchen is visible through a large glass wall and you get to watch the kitchen staff cook your food as well as prep the fresh made salsas and sauces. The chips and salsa is a must for a starter. The food is unique, fresh, and vibrant. The cocktails are hand-crafted and absolutely delicious. La Esquina Cocina is a must visit if you’re in the Huntsville area!

Came here for the first time on a recommendation that “the food is good but they need more business”.. well, I found out why. They are RUDE, but the guacamole was very good! They should probably consider removing steak since they can’t cook one to proper temp. I had a couple bites of my 8 oz ribeye’s “tail” before discovering the entire stem was medium well instead of the MEDIUM RARE I so clearly ordered. Since the bartender didn’t care to check back, I ate around the steak until he could bother. I received another steak which so clearly their passive-aggressive way of fixing THEIR mistake. The 2nd one had no seasoning and it was not the cut you ever send out of a kitchen..

Went to lunch here on a recommendation of the local Chamber of Commerce. It’s just around the corner from their office.

This is a hard one to rate. I really enjoyed pretty much everything. Spicy Margarita and Empanadas we’re my favorite. Shrimp taco and fish taco both were really good. Didn’t care for the chorizo artichoke dip, no flavor. The carne asada taco wasn’t bad just not as good as the others.

Worst service I have EVER experienced. I’m sitting at a table with 7 people that was only meant for 4. Every time we asked for a table extension we were denied. However they have had a table for 14 that has been sitting empty for over an hour. All the people in my party that arrived after the first two weren’t even offered water. They told us that we were past our two hour limit (a rule that doesn’t exist) while we were still waiting on things we ordered. I will not be returning.

We had a great visit for Cinco de Mayo. Fantastic service, great food. While it is often just a “component” the fresh salsa is truly legit! Thank you La Esquina!

First time at La Esquina Cocina. The cheese dip was really good, I think the best I’ve ever had. The artichoke chorizo dip was good, a little different flavor with the artichoke, but I liked it.

Great Mexican restaurant. Amazing how well they were able to repurpose the old Wendy’s building – very nice remodel with a full bar and dining room. The food was great and not the usual Tex Mex fare. They have some menu items you won’t find at the other Mexican restaurants nearby. I recommend it!
