I love Italian food, and I wanted to first share the good.

The food is ok. Not some fancy Italian stuff like I thought. It’s like Fazolis quality. The price is very high but it’s about the same price point as all the local family owned Italian restaurants I have been to. I got seated fast. There was one other table of people. The rest were empty and they sat my group right next to them. I hate that! Other groups that came after got to be far apart and were asked if they wanted a table or booth. I wasn’t asked. It took way too long to come take my drink order considering they had more people working then there were customers. The guy was very nice that took my order. Of course out of coke which is only drink we like so started off badly. We all got water which wasn’t ideal. The bread was nice. Pasta was ok. The kids pasta I thought included drink but didn’t so $6.99 for small amount of pasta then $3.25 for a drink. Over $10 for a small child is way to much. All the tables around us got asked if they wanted desert but not us. Felt like they wanted us gone. Personally I would rather have Olive Garden then here but that’s my taste

When my fiancé and I walked in on a Saturday evening, at the height of the dinner hour, we were worried about a bit of a wait, which is expected, though we were able to be seated immediately the bar (which does not YET serve alcohol). I got coffee (amazing), and we got calamari for our appetizer. While we were waiting, the gentle notes of traditional Italian music and the occasional conversation in Italian by some of the staff definitely added to the ambiance. The calamari was fantastic, though it was the marinara sauce that blew my mind. I could have literally just eaten it with a spoon.

I really wanted to like this place. I tried really hard to like it while I was there, and even after I left, I found myself trying to find the good in it. Sadly, it was a mediocre experience at best. The atmosphere is “meh” with some generic pseudo-italian music piped in through someone’s Spotify Playlist on their phone, but nothing really authentic or Italy focused as you would normally find in such an establishment. The floor was sticky in places as we walked in, and our table looks like it had been wiped down with a dirty rag. The food was sub-Olive Garden/Fazoli’s quality yet priced higher. Worst of all, everyone walked away with upset stomachs after eating here. I can excuse away okay food and sometimes give it another chance if it looks like they are having a bad night, but I draw the line when everyone gets sick. I hope they grow out of the opening day issues (they opened in early June ’23) and can be the authentic Italian experience Dothan needs.

In the area for the day and we came across this restaurant on Google. Reviews were a little hit and miss-but the place was 5/5! Went at 6 local time. Seated immediately and had great interactions with staff. Orders cheese sticks as the appetizer and they were out quick and hot. Ordered Shrimp Alfredo, Trio (lasagnas) and the Sausage Arabiata. All was quick, hot, and fresh. We were so full we couldn’t think about dessert but it looked amazing too.

Best Italian food we’ve had in years! Finally a good Italian restaurant in Alabama! 14 different dishes for our party and everyone was as good as the last. Place was packed but the wait staff was excellent. Place was very clean as well.

I had heard really good things about this place, so I tried it a few days ago. Walking in the door there’s a cooler on the left where they keep desserts, which consists of whole cakes uncovered with messy serving utensils. Very weird. Zero ambience, but the service was great, I was surprised they opened before obtaining a license to sell alcohol. The food was underwhelming, I had Chicken Marsala, the chicken was frozen chicken breasts that were unseasoned, across the board there was a lack of seasoning. I did try my sons chicken parm and it was great. I love Italian food, and we all know this area lacks choices, I’m hoping my experience was just growing pains. I will try it again at a later date. Edit: I’ll add this to explain my comment about the cooler, a bakery case is where desserts are displayed to look appetizing, in no way is a glass fronted Coke fridge with uncovered store bought cakes appealing. This is my opinion, and my honest review of my experience.
